I grew up going on family vacations to Pismo Beach so I am biased. Probably the best kept secret of the California coast. Beautiful wide beaches, great restaurants, wine country a 10 minute drive from the beach and lots of other cute little coastal towns to explore for a day trip. You could spend all week laying on the beach or going someplace new every day. And nothing beats a Pismo Sunset!

Pismo Beach was nice, but the Edgewater hotel was too crowded, the parking was really crammed, and the area looked a little scary. I thought it would be nicer. The bed was very lumpy and lopsided and uncomfortable.
If things go wrong and you don’t arrive early enough and miss most of your first night, don’t expect any niceness from the hotel staff and getting a late check out like you would at other hotels. They do not care!

North Pismo Beach, including Shell Beach Cove area, and Avila Beach (just north of Pismo) are very nice for walking and sightseeing. Avila Beach has a very long interesting history. Downtown Pismo traffic was bad and the old town area might seem "funky" classic beach to some.

Love the beach and pier, small downtown with shops, easy access from highway.
It's also 10-15 minutes from Avila Beach, Madonna Inn, and San Luis Obispo. It's 50 minutes from Solvang. Paso Robles (with Sensorio) are also pretty close. Morro Bay and Montana de Oro park with cool hikes are around 40 minutes away. It's just a great location to get some beach views and explore the area.

This is a charming little town with lots of shops and restaurants right at the beach. I'd say that there's enough to do downtown in one day, and then another day you can explore explore nearby. a weekend is perfect.
Because we stayed at the Pismo Beach hotel. We would go out how breakfast at the cafe. Right next door walk around and look at the shops. Go to the beach, call my quebec to the hotel rest and then go back out to try one of the restaurants..

the beach was fine clean people all seemed happy.we needed to investigate more on restaurants.I felt crab shack was overpriced crab roll was a joke.would not return or rcomend.Ask locals where to dine not tourist traps. Did have lunch at Splsh Splash it was a good salad service was very good
The hotel was easy to get to off the freeway. It was a quick check in and we were given tickets for complementary drinks at the bar and tickets for the buffet breakfast. As requested, we were given a room away from the street. The room was spacious with a separate sitting area and bedroom. The furnishings were older but still comfortable. The breakfast buffet was included with the hotel stay and was simple but plentiful. Overall a great stay at Oxford suites. Definitely would stay again if we were in the area.
The staff at this hotel were very friendly and offered great suggestions on where to get crab cakes. The location was great, walking distance to the pier and many restaurants. We really enjoyed the beach and swimming in the ocean. Afternoons were great in the pool and hot tub. We got a suite which worked out perfectly. We bought our own coffee and filters which was good to make coffee in the morning. Also, brought breakfast items such as cereal and fruit. The room did have a toaster.
It has fire pits
A great location
No noise from other guests rooms
A lot of things to do were within walking distance.
The only complaint is that when the guests bells is was smoking marijuana , it seeped into our room upstairs. There were times we had to shut our balcony glass door it was so bad.
We didn’t come here to have our patio door closed. We wanted to enjoy the view and sounds of the ocean waves.
I’m not blaming the hotel for that.
I blame the inconsiderate rude guest.
This is my new favorite hotel and we have traveled a lot worldwide. We were there during a rainy time and yet it was absolutely wonderful. It was meticulously clean, spacious, every detail thought of and a very kind staff. There were endless activities for our children, tamales for breakfast and pelican watching to go with it. Thank you! We will be back.
Tucked away hotel with free parking at the front which was great. It was very basic, clean and tidy. We were staying only one night on the way to LA and made for a good stop over. Brilliant coffee shop next door which was a real highlight. Checked in and out with no issues. Very Quiet considering it was very near the freeway.
Large number of activities available, rooms were very big. In room TV were great for the kids., Internet, steaming and casting from your devices were possible, which is something no other hotel we visited had available (visited 6 other hotels during our trip)
Everything was great about this hotel including the price.
Oxford was a nice hotel which suited our purposes as an overnight stay on our roadtrip. The hotel is a little tired and could do with a refresh but overall it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was basic but lovely. It's a bonus to have breakfast thrown into the cost of the stay.
Spectacular view, very nice room and beautiful grounds. Ocean view from room was breathtaking and the pat behind hotel was nice. They had a free folk singer and local winery pouring wines behind the hotel on the grass overlooking the ocean. It was perfect!
A nice hotel located at the beach of Pismo Beach. Staff was very nice. Small pool and hottub on the roof. Parking is safe due to Valet parking. The rooms was very nice and the bed very comfrtable. We very much liked the style of the design.
Once we were moved to new rooms, they were great. The Hotel is walking distance to everything with a Liquor Store, Coffee Shop and Laundry Mat a half block away. The pool and jacuzzi were clean. They gave us plenty of extra towels too!
We have stayed at the Tides previously. So we knew what kind of motor hotel it was. The rooms are very clean if a little dated. The bathroom shower is very small but the pink tile is cute. The desk clerks are friendly and efficitent.
The hotel location is within walking distance of the beach and the town's amenities. We went for New Year 2023 weekend and it had just rained. The pictures of the beach aren't as vibrant as in summer.
Upon check in, staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Convenient location to highway and downtown Pismo Beach. Room and hotel in general was clean. Good value for a quick overnight stay.
I always come to this place because, i think this is my 6 or 7 years coming back. Is clean and I like the service, people are very friendly and smile all the time. I love this hotel. 10+
Everything was great this is our 4th year having Valentine’s Day in Pismo Beach and our 3rd time staying at this Hotel and it’s always good staff is always helpful and GREAT
Nice large room for a family of 4. Beds were comfory and the bathroom spacious. The views from the hotel and room were better than expected. Pool facilities were great.
It was excellent! We had an ocean view room which was so nice! We had the best view ever and we enjoyed the hotel very much! We would definitely come back!
