I have been going to Hampton since I was a child (so over 60 years). The location was perfect for going into Hampton Beach, or driving the beautiful coast to Rye for wonderful lobster dinners, Portsmouth for shopping and sightseeing ,or Ogunquit for the day. I love Petey's for lobster, but you need to go early as you cannot make reservations, but it's worth the wait. I like to go for lunch on occasion - breaks up being on the beach in the heat of the sun. If you like to shop, it is a short drive up route 1 to Portsmouth or Kittery for the outlet stores. I recommend the boat trip to the Isles of the Shoals off Portsmouth. It is a great way to see the area by water and the guide is knowledgeable. I have take friends there numerous times for a day away from the beach.

This destination is so easy to access.
This destination is so easy to access. There are a few ways into the beach and the signage and traffic flow is sufficiently and efficiently laid out. I'd suggest a complete drive through before choosing your parking space as the pricing and amenities varies.

I vacation to Hampton at least once a year and have been to the ashworth several times and it was great. Now with the new management it is absolutely terrible!!! I will never ever go back even if the stay is free! No only is the staff rude not only to me but to my daughter whom I was on my phone with while I was checking in. Yelling that her mom is busy and don’t have time for her! Like who does that! I didn’t feel comfortable going down to the restaurant or anywhere near the lobby staff was so intimidating! I was promised by Jolene the manager I would be reimbursed for the night I was not going to be there and not only was I not reimbursed I was charged a second pet fee!! I paid for 3 days on my card and my daughter paid for my 4 th day on her card. So my daughter should have been reimbursed. But instead they added on charges from the days I paid for on my card on to her card. When we tried to call and figure this out. Not only did we get an attitude but we were hung up on then no one answered the phone. Ashworth is absolutely terrible. I strongly suggest going a few blocks down to The sea ketch. The restaurant is phenomenal and the staff is so accommodating! The whole place is much much cleaner and a better over all stay!

Best beach within 500+ miles.
Best beach within 500+ miles. A long boardwalk with over 100 different businesses from food, clothes & arcades, to restaurants, bars & casinos.
There's literally many things for everyone to enjoy. The beach is to die for, with perfect waves and sun-kissed sand like you were in the Caribbean.

We returned a 2nd time this summer, mainly to enjoy the concerts each night. We loved The Apathetics....the other 2 nights, not as much. We also took in the fireworks Wednesday night. We were a fair walk to the beach, but reasonable.
The food on the strip is very expensive...your choice whether to buy it or make other plans.
The cars on the strip love to scream their engines, especially past our hotel area.

I went up for a concert at the Hampton Beach Casino and this property was a 5 minute walk away. Only needed 1 night and knew I wouldn't be spending much time in the room. It did have an outdoor balcony - that faced the wall of the building next door, but at least we got to sit outside when we were at the room. The property is "tired" - a bit run-down but for 1 night it was fine. The price was right for these factors.
The room was perfect. We stayed on the ground floor in a super modern room. The TV was huge, so was the bed (king size) and the bathroom was super clean. There was even a little kitchen which we did not use. Went to Hampton Beach to see a concert at the Casino Ballroom which was only a couple of minutes away by foot.
What a quaint hotel. We had such an enjoyable stay. Location is great! The restaurant serves very delicious meals, we ate there twice.Beds were very comfortable.
