CDO is the city I relax and unwind after a grueling 18 hour flight from the UK. There are many local restaurants and eateries and a variety of Malls for some retail therapy. It is an ideal launchpad for trips south into Bukidnon and its beauty. One of my favourite places to eat was of course Jollibee, open 24 hours so ideal for that cheeky midnight snack when jetlag is waving. I also Enjoy Gerrys Grill in SM down town for that authentic Filipino feast. If you fancy something a bit more exciting, I also recommend Romantic Baboy situated behind Lemketkai Mall for a real treat of Korean BBQ. Getting around CDO is relatively easy, in downtown there are four malls within easy walking distance of each other which can keep you occupied for hours. The bus terminal is nearby (just 5 minutes in a taxi) which can take you into the Heart of Bukidnon for a reasonable price. Last time though, i bit the bullet and hired my first car. Filipino traffic can be daunting at first but as long as you're sensible, you should get around just fine.
There isn't much to avoid really, I find the bus terminal very stressful due to the busy nature and people will try to insist they take your bags to the bus for a fee. Not really something I'm comfortable with and paying for entry is also a bit strange. As a foreign person, there is a risk of higher prices everywhere so I'm always weary of what I am paying. Always shop in places where the prices are advertised.
All in all CDO is a great city with lots to see and do and a fantastic launchpad into Bukidnon.

I liked CDO because of the presence of many malls and restaurants. Business is flourishing and people are friendly.
What I don't like is the drivers who are not observing correct traffic rules.

Vista West was amazing and close to town.
Vista West was amazing and close to town. We loved Dahilayan Adventure Park, bring some warm cloths because it is high on the mountain. Eat at Oding's restaurant outside the park gates, wonderful and cheap Filipino food. We visited Chali Resort for a full afternoon and only paid 300 pesos each to use the pool. We also ate there and it was wonderful. Excellent motorcycle rental at Spencers.

NOISY at any time of the day.
NOISY at any time of the day. People just freely play music at loud volumes sometimes using huge speakers without considering the neighbors. Even inside the hotel room you could feel the bass and drums beating. So disorganized and undisciplined especially the roads. Air is not clean. Not the city I used to know.

Cagayan de Oro is good but city traffic is really so bad.
Cagayan de Oro is good but city traffic is really so bad. Places to eat were the usual fare like Jollibee, Burger King, even the market place where (breakfast time), the kinilaw was very good. It is easy to get around CDO if you know the location. Walking is better than using transportation since the traffic is really bad. Drivers are not considerate at all.

Is a big city airport is far like 35 km away. Allot to explore to bad didn't had enough time. Got malls i think 4 of them food is good not to expensive, people friendly ready to help .beautiful place allot of history to explore .Definitely will be back again .
Mold on the bathroom wall, wet leaky sink, broken wall sockets, mild dew, cold showers, damp wet walls, no restaurant on site as a advertise, broken elevator, safe not usable, TV rationed, smelly toilet/ bathroom. Very small uncomfortable rooms. This hotel is extremely overpriced. I will never book another Red Planet Hotel....Give booking.com a bad name. I travel alot and have stay in close to 300 Hotels in 25 years. This was the worst hotel e er.
Location - there is little more than hardware stores and repair shop on immediate street, noisy and dirty. However the central area with malls is just a few blocks away. Nearby street turns into veggies market after sunset, mangos were exceptional.. if this is your thing dont miss it. Everything in hotel is very clean, including common areas. Breakfast is plated, whatever you take it differs only by a piece of meat/fish/sausage added.
The property has its all that you need. 💯 Starting from toiletries, kitchen needs, hair needs, it has everything that you need. And it has an exceptional smell too, it smells like you're in a hotel. You don't have to worry about entertainment too, the WiFi is strong, it has netflix, youtube, everything you need. Oh, and the view too, 👌🏼. You'll witness an amazing sunset and sunrise too.
site location is very good, it's beside centrio mall and other malls.
the room has one of the coldest acu, and the bed is very comfortable
the gym facility is very adequate.
breakfast food is very good, value for money.
the staff are very friendly and accomodating
you can't go wrong with choosing this hotel
The place is a home away from home. The place is clean and peaceful. The owner is accommodating. The only disadvantage is the distance to our meeting venue (Limketkai Luxe Hotel) but it is just minor, around 20 to 30mins to the city center. Just leave early and there will be no problem.😃
It was more than what I expected. The hotel was clean. Wi-Fi was available. Hot shower was working in the room. It had an elevator to bring us to the 4th floor. Best of all the interiors were nicely designed. It was not your usual boutique hotel.
I like the location of the hotel because it was very near from the mall. I also like the way of access to their rooms since it has an elevator and the space of room for single deluxe is breathable, not suffocating for claustrophobic person
We did not have breakfast in the hotel, we went down to Circa.
Safety is of importance in this hotel. It is very accessible when our friends pick us up & also when we left going to the Pier.
Very nice na may mga option for a budget hotel in this area. Para hindi naccomercialize ng malalaking hotel, lalo if saglit lang naman tlga gagamitin yung room. Tutulugan lang and liguan.
