If you are homesick this lovely place run by a very hospitable owner is the safe bet to help you feel at home. A very nice bedroom with private bathroom and very large and fully equipped shared kitchen-cum-living room, on the first floor of a large standalone house (with a separate entry) situated right on the fringe of the compact old quarter. Come for two days, stay for a week, because there is plenty to see in the area - don't miss Lascaux caves (replica v.4), castles, and absolutely fabulous Marqueyssac gardens (sitting on the top of a mountain) - all well-connected by a network of local buses! Note: you need to climb a little bit (say, five minutes) to reach the place from the very centre, but in return you have very nice views. :)

It was an amazing stay. The apartment was on top of the hill with an amazing view. We had all the facilities and accommodations including free Netflix on TV which we used. The breakfast was served on the open veranda overlooking old bridge and greenery. Frank brought it upstairs if the weather was rainy. Breakfast was amazing and consisted of coffee, fresh croissants, baguette, homemade jams and yogurt, juice. There was a teapot and teabags in case you want some during the day and a coffee maker (buy your won coffee). Frank was full of suggestions and recommendations regarding places to visit or where to eat. When all of us got sick, he brought medicine and offered help. The property is tastefully and beautifully decorated by Nelly and is guarded by fearless Meg. We left the place with a feeling that we got new friends. I hope we will return soon. P.S. We had a car so we drove to town for about 5 min. The walk is possible but not too picturesque. We also attended many attractions which were a short drive from the property.

Beautiful surroundings and very close to Sarlat. The kids loved wandering the grounds to visit the donkey and pony and spent a lot of time at the pool and pond. We had lots of room in our apartment for a family of 5 and loved the private outdoor space too.
