Self Catering Accommodation in Monte, Funchal

Very nice small questhouse, our room with terrace and balcony was great, also one man from staff, maybe owner..don't know but he did great job to welcoming us all the time, let always good feeling. Parking ok, also teleferico was close and bus stop. Food was really good in restaurant . breakfast good too

This studio was amazing. Located on the top of funchal is strictly recommended if you are looking for a stay in quiet area with an incredible wiev. From here you can get to the pico de arieiro in only 25 min by car and then start hiking through the highest mountains of the island and it Is really close to funchal city centre, only 10 mins by car. Barbara was professional, kind and helpful. She gave us all the informations we needed to know from restaurant to all activities and places you must visit in madeira. She was always available whe we needed her help. Surely if i ever come back to madeira, i will choice studio geek again.

Beautiful villa with lovely furniture. Great floor plan. Could have moved into this house. Lots of kitchen utensils and crockery. It was lovely to see the baskets fly down the hill on the street outside the villa. Adored the garden with its birds of paradise. Lovely setting. Unfortunately it rained a lot in our week and we didn't get to spend as much time outside as we would have liked.

The villa is amazing! It is close to Funchal with all its bars and restaurants. We would just go down in the evening by foot and back on a taxi that costs like 10 euro. The villa has all the equipment one might need. Wonderful pool and marvellous view over the city and the ocean. The host was extremely welcoming and nice. Thank you, Joao!

The host was fantastic, so friendly, professional and helpful. The shelters are located right at the centre of plenty of hiking trails. Very peaceful. The shelter was very clean, cosy and modern. A 10/10 restaurant/bar is located a short walk from the accommodation with delicious food and drink, suitable for breakfast lunch and an evening meal.

Excellent homey feel. The kitchen has everything you need and more; the beds are comfortable and the living room and balcony are great for relaxing. The home really has everything - even beach towels, a luggage scale and an umbrella. The owner was very helpful and provided any information that was needed.

The Mountain Eco Shelter is such a charming place that you'd be wrong not to sleep here during your stay in Madeira. You feel perfectly safe and surrounded by nature. The shelter is very comfortable (the kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is perfect and beautiful, the bed is very comfortable), the terrace offers a breathtaking view of the mountains and the valley of Funchal with the sea, we really enjoyed eating outside with this view. The shelters are located in the Funchal Ecological Park, which gives them a special flavor: you feel right at home in nature, and there are hiking trails from the park. Unfortunately, we stayed during the August 2024 fires and were therefore unable to do some of the hikes, but this didn't spoil our stay and the host was very reassuring and informative about the fire. Many thanks to the team for this.

Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

Casa Flor do Monte felt very luxurious. All the appliances were excellent. Everything was top quality. All amenities were included like shampoo/shower gel/washing tablets/wood for the log burner etc. Location was very quiet and relaxing. Ideal after long days out exploring. Monica who co-hosts the property was amazing. We asked her lots of questions about hikes and sights and she responded to us almost immediately, which we appreciated as we needed more local knowledge to organise our days out with up to date weather changes. Every day visits from Spider, the neighbours dog, made our return to the property feel like home.

The views are beautiful the beds very comfy the bathrooms were amazing
