The rooms were elegant and comfortable, the hosts incredibly kind and welcoming, and every meal was a feast — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Thank you for the wonderful memories. Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. One of the best places I've ever stayed. Look forward to coming back some day and making it longer than just 1 night.

Oyado Eitaro se găsește în Takayama, la 35 km de Gara Takayama, și are WiFi gratuit și parcare privată gratuită. There was a lot to like about Oyado Eitaro. The location is very convenient - only a five (maybe less) minute walk from the bus center. We dropped off our luggage before checking in and later found the bags in our room. The dinner was a wonderful experience and was probably some of the best food we had on our trip. It was a great way to try many different dishes, all of them well prepared. Breakfast was a similar experience. Both the public and private onsens were very relaxing and very clean. Overall an amazing experience. If we ever come back to the area, we’ll be looking to rebook Oyado Eitaro.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. We had a wonderful 1-night stay at Auberge Hida no Mori! It is set in a peaceful location about 5-10 minutes drive outside of Takayama. The main attraction has to be the wonderful meals put together by chef Toshi and his wife. Absolutely sign up for the meals, you will not regret it.

Offering traditional Japanese-style accommodation with spacious public baths, Yatsusankan Over 6 years old is a 6-minute walk from JR Hidafurukawa Train Station. Everything was wonderful, I highly recommend this ryokan. Beautiful place, beautiful people, beautiful food !

ひらゆの森別邸湯う香三蔵庵 se află în Takayama, la 35 km de Gara Takayama, și pune la dispoziție o grădină, pârtie de schi și parcare privată gratuită. Location, private onsen in the suite, kaiseki dinner is elegant and delicious, so is the delicious breakfast, both served in our room, it’s a great experience. The staffs are very warm and helpful. It gave free entrance ticket to the big public onsen which is a great extra benefit.
