The room was bright and clean, and the private onsen was amazing. There is a kitchen and a shared space where you can experience a traditional Japanese kotatsu. Everything was great except that the property is located on a hill, so you have to climb to reach nearby places. The road was very slippery on snowy days, and we almost slipped several times. I would not recommend this place for travelers with elderly people or young children.

This 3-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service. This is the first ever hotel I am giving a 10/10. Honestly was the best stay ive ever had. The location was great, just across from the bus stop. The room was clean and tidy, Yukatas left in room for us to use. The host was so kind and friendly, she even gave us a larger Yukata to wear! The breakfast was an amazing mix of Western meets Japanese, and was delivered to our room for us! She even brought welcome tea and snacks to our room when we arrived as well! Overall, the best hotel stay of our Japan trip so far!

The food was FANTASTIC!!! the room was excellent, and the service impeccable.but sadly we forgot to eat the complimentary dessert in the fridge.... the Onsen was excellent also would have liked to stay longer.

The multi-course dinner and breakfast service were absolutely fantastic as well. We took advantage of the free shuttle service to and from Minakami Station, which was also easy to navigate. This was the perfect quiet and relaxing escape during our honeymoon!

Gozanoyu, a hot springs bath facility is a 2-minute walk away while Ohtakinoyu is a 7-minute walk from the property. Sainokawara open-air bath is a 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive from the property. Kusatsu Kokusai Ski Resort is 1.1 km from the property. All the staff are polite, helpful and always with a smile. Breakfast was tasty and like an art. Room was comfortable and clean. The 24-hour self service coffee and juice bar was a great bonus. Just wanted to say all good reviews by previous travelers are 100% accurate.
