Huge room with great view to the marina. The service is outstanding: we got there at midnight and they managed to have dinner served for us at the rooftop restaurant with a lovely view to the fortress’ wall (btw, food was delicious!). The hotel is located a few steps away from the marina, where you find a variety of restaurants to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Five min walk to the pedestrian area with shops and many more restaurants and 7 min away from Kavala’s old town. Due to time constraints we missed the spa, but we are looking forward to a massage in our next stay.

We loved this 5 star hotel right on the beach in Kavala. When we arrived, they upgraded our room to a junior suite which was delightful. We had a large king bed, and two balconies that overlooked the ocean. We were very close to the water's edge and could hear the waves crashing on the rocks below. Our view was beautiful, looking out over the water and the town of Kavala. The bed was comfortable. We had two comfy chairs, as well as a desk with a chair. The bathroom was roomy and well equipped. The room was spacious and so relaxing. It comes with a breakfast buffet which was varied and delicious. All the staff were very helpful and most of them spoke decent English. There was a nice market nearby to pick up some fruit and water and snacks. The staff would call for a taxi for us whenever we needed to go anywhere. The hotel itself is about a 5 minute drive from the city of Kavala, which is a very authentic Greek city and not overrun with tourists.

The Egnatia hotel lies at the top of the hill of the city of Kavala. It is 20 mi from the Alexander the Great airport and only a 5-minute drive from the city center.

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a room with a panoramic view of the city. The room was very spacious and decorated in a modern comfortable style. We ate a very good dinner at the hotel and breakfast was delicious.

The hotel was in a quiet neighborhood, the room was quite large. The beach was very nice, the hotel provides sunbed and umbrella free of charge. The owners were very lovely and warm, they made us feel at home.
