Isle of ManBeautiful well equipped house in a stunning fjord location just out of Akureyri town. Cheerful lights of Akureyri town could be seen from one side of the property at night whilst the back bedroom balcony gave spectacular dark sky views of any Aurora. Glorious sauna just a step outside the back door. Very calm aura to the whole place. Jean Marc and his wife where fantastic hosts, there in a flash when needed and discretely out of sight when not. All in all a fabulous and highly recommended property.

Our room had a sea view. The breakfast was excellent. I appreciate the observation tower. We even saw the aurora borealis. I liked the relaxation zone the most. The northern lights viewing point, the hot tub, the sauna, the snooker table and the dart board were amazing value add-ons. They had coffee/tea/hot cocoa through the day at their restaurant, and a kitchenette to microwave meals. Highly recommended stay option near Akureyri. Lots of facilities like sauna and hot tub and common areas (though sadly we didn’t get a chance to use them, maybe next time!). Lovely breakfast with sweet and savoury options. We specifically chose the hotel because of the spa, sauna and relaxation area. Breakfast was good, everything you would expect. We were in a separate building away from the main house. The room was small, no problem, but instead of a double bed we had two single mattresses together. They were quite hard. Otherwise everything was perfect.
