The check-in staff (specially Aditya and Max) were very welcoming and looked after me through out my stay. The restaurant staff were very attentive and the food was just amazing. We were allotted a basement apartment, we had our own apprehensions about it, but USP was the veranda, which was private enough, and was surrounded by large stones giving it authentic look. Nearby area of the property is also well managed, with possibility to host friends for a meal outside. Moreover we were given guest cards, with which we could gain free entry (for 3 hours) to nearby spa. Kudos to the hosts, for their magnificent job.

It is relatively easy to travel to Hinterzarten by public transport and the hotel is within 10 mins walk from the railway station. The forest trails start within less than 100 meters from the hotel. There are great many forest walks and lots of things to do in the area.
