Also, when going in the off-season be prepared for many restaurants to be closed. Luckily Leiferando delivered! I’m sure this place is extremely busy when in-season. But it was a nice and quiet business trip for me.

We booked the hotel for an event in a neighboring village and were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful location and the spa facilities in the hotel. Landhotel Hauer is located in Oberhofen, beside the Pfälzer Wald forest and close to the French border. This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. A modern building, very well appointed and equipped. My room was in effect a suite. Staff most pleasant and efficient. The breakfast lived up to its description as gourmet. The restaurant too was of a high standard. Plenty of parking space and a quiet location. I could not fault anything.
