Strandhotellet offers pet-friendly accommodation with free WiFi in Blokhus, 30 km from Aalborg. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar, a restaurant with locally produced ingredients, and a sun terrace. Lovely, quiet, cozy room. Ample size room and large bathroom with bath and shower. Excellent location for exploring the west coast of Jylland. Did not spend a lot of time in Blokhus but had two nice walks on the beach.

The bathroom had double sinks and an opulent shower. Towels and bathrobes were thick and luxurious. The food was wonderful, and breakfast was spectacular. We will be back

This family-run hotel is 3 minutes’ walk from Frederikshavn Train Station. It offers free Wi-Fi and parking. Facilities include a charming wine bar and a rose garden with terrace. Cute, small hotel. Very homey feeling and lovely staff. Breakfast was good!

Check in was a breeze, once we realized the entry code key pad was on the door handle. We had the basic room with a shared bathroom - one room with toilet and sink and another larger room with shower, sink, mirror, and hairdryer. We never had to wait for the facilities. There was a small fridge in the room and also a shared kitchen. Linens were wonderful. We ate our take-out dinner in the hydrangea-filled garden. The owner Hendrik came out and chatted with us. He and his father bought an old farm some 20 years ago and created Toftegården. They were clearly interested in our well-being and satisfaction. Best of all were the bicycles, half the price we paid in Copenhagen and much better quality. We recommend the sanded-in church and a walk to the point where the two seas meet.
