Boasting a bar and free WiFi, Wat Hotel & Spa Hida Takayama is set in Takayama. The property is located 2.1 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. The facilities were amazing, great options for both private and public onsen, with a lock on the ladies. The waiting area was really lovely, and a free ice lolly was super nice. The breakfast was good, diffident both Japanese and western options. The room was big and very nice, with toilet and bath separated.

Conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from JR Takayama Station, Spa Hotel Alpina offers a spa and open-air hot-spring baths with scenic views. Free WiFi is available in all areas. The staff are very professional and kind, beds were huge and the room was very big with new furniture. There are 2 smoking spaces inside the hotel and the onsen is awesome, open till 1 am. The location is great, near everything in Takayama, 4 minutes from station. We really enjoyed staying there.

Featuring beautiful sceneries of the woods, Ryu Resort and Spa is located in the tranquil Shokawa Highland area, a 50-minute drive or free shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station (reservation needed). Staff were attentive, food was good and the open air onsen made the experience very memorable. They also had kids Yukata and a small play area.

Only a 1-minute walk from the Ogaki Train Station, APA Hotel Ogaki Ekimae offers modern accommodations with free wired internet access in all room. I liked a lot the location, very close to the station so easy to move to cities around like Gifu.
