Walking around the old town is also a unique experience where you can find several restaurants that offers the amazing Hida wagyu. The entrance to the women bath in the hotel is protected with security code, giving extra protection and confidence to the female guests. We could enjoy the warm outdoor onsen and the cold snow.

The staff are very professional and kind, beds were huge and the room was very big with new furniture. There are 2 smoking spaces inside the hotel and the onsen is awesome, open till 1 am. The location is great, near everything in Takayama, 4 minutes from station. We really enjoyed staying there.

The location was out of the way from the Nakasendo Kaido but everything about the hotel was great. The onsen was very nice-the water or whatever was put in the water was great for the skin. The dinner and breakfasts were amazing.

Super easy to get to, we had no problems in the hotel, everything was nice, so I would definitely recommend this hotel to stay in Takayama.

Featuring beautiful sceneries of the woods, Ryu Resort and Spa is located in the tranquil Shokawa Highland area, a 50-minute drive or free shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station (reservation needed). Staff were attentive, food was good and the open air onsen made the experience very memorable. They also had kids Yukata and a small play area.

Only a 1-minute walk from the Ogaki Train Station, APA Hotel Ogaki Ekimae offers modern accommodations with free wired internet access in all room. Excessively tiny room, but pleasant and well appointed, with excellent lighting and quality bed + comforter. All OK.
