What a hotel! Very intimate and cozy, the room was pristine and the staff is amazing. The food is just too delicious. Namal was very kind to us and Umberto (the GM) such a pleasant acquaintance! We felt home. They were so nice to even add a bed for a friend who joined us last minute!

The pool was absolutely amazing especially as it's not a great place to swim in the sea on this particular part of the beach due to corals shallow water. If you want to have a good swim you need to walk further up the beach. but the pool was so great I didn't care! The setting is fabulous. I loved the crows in the palm trees and the nature. The room was huge and extremely comfortable. The pillows fabulous and the mattress and everything really comfortable. I loved that they had the option of a ceiling fan. I did look at the other hotels on a walk and I'm glad I picked this one ! The laundry service was fantastic and managed to get a stain out of a really badly stained shirt. Miracle workers! The staff are very kind and helpful and will go out of their way to make things nice.

The eco-friendly Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa - Thema Collection sits on the sandy shores of Passekudah Bay on the east coast of Sri Lanka. Wow, this place blew our minds. Absolutely stunning resort right on the beach - even better than pictured. The food was also sensational (fried butter prawns in particular), rooms beautiful and the staff rounded out the experience. All of the staff were lovely and went over and above to ensure we had a great stay. Ruchi (the animator) was a highlight. He proactively engaged my three year old son on the first day and by day two were fast friends - making our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. We were there for 3 nights and while I normally want to get out and about - I was really happy to spend the whole time at the resort. Can’t recommend Maalu Maalu any higher

Definitely an expensive luxury experience but a wonderful one. Everything was done with a lot of thought about the experience, amazing breakfast beach and gym. Loved the place

Beautiful hotel with huge swimming pool, nice, clean and spacious rooms, well-kept beautiful garden and big beach. Meals are ok, huge choice of dishes. Nice and polite staff. Just perfect🤩 there are a few restaurants in the neighborhood of the hotel, but rather tuk tuk is needed to get there.

Beach is superperfect get away with family or friends. Everything here is just perfect. Rooms are clean and spacious comparing to the 5 star hotels. Staff is friendly, kind and flexible. Their service is exceptional. Food is the highlight. Every meal they served was delicious. Price is reasonable. Will surely visit again.

We enjoyed every moment. Nice isolated place to get relax. Enjoyed a lot. I hope that will visit again Sri Lanka and Amaya.

The hotel is very beautiful and feels very relaxed to be in. The spaces are thoughtful and there are lots of places to lounge and relax so you feel like you are on a private retreat even with other guests. Our favourite part was the loungers under big beautiful native trees on the beach. They are tucked under trees but right on the water so you can swim in the ocean and then lay in the shade and drink mango juice 👌 their spot on the beach is also more peaceful and secluded than some of the other resorts. The staff were very generous and kind! We are vegan and their chef catered easily for us. They also just made the most heavenly dishes - their buffets (breakfast and dinner) are 10/10 the food was so good. We can't rate it high enough - it was a surprise favourite stop for us on our trip! Very peaceful and just what we needed.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant, Riviera Resort is located in Batticaloa. Free WiFi access is available in this resort. The accommodation will provide you with a seating area. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and the surroundings. We stayed in a well equipped tree bungalow just a few meters from the lagoon. Loved walking on wood. The food was really tasty and it was really nice being able to sit outside the bar as it was really ”cool off- season days”. The staff was really hospitable and welcoming. Good location within walking distance to ”everything”. We walked everywhere around Batti.
