This was the last night's hotel stay in a three week European trip. Overall, the stay was the best value for money. Close enough for a quick cab ride to the airport, clean and quiet. Furthermore, though we had many excellent hotel breakfasts over the three weeks, this one ranked among the best AND was served in the nicest dining room !....with white table cloths and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Everything, place was very comfortable, breakfast was optional as it wasn't needed on some day, overall a great experience.

Stayed here for 1 night before getting a flight from Manchester Airport. parking added for 2 weeks while we were away and the cost was minimal (and easy) compared to other Airport hotels in the area. Hotel.arranged for us to have a shuttle to and from airport and it couldn't have been easier. Will definitely use this hotel again in future for Airport. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel super easy to find off the motorway.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Pymgate Lodge. We ended up staying here for two nights because we had to add on another night because of the train strike. When we arrived via taxi from the airport train station (a very short ride), we were greeted by the young proprietor. She was chatty and friendly and explained everything about the hotel to us. The hotel offers breakfast for an additional fee, which is convenient because there are no restaurants and shops very close by, although some are within walking distance if you're a reasonably good walker. In fact, she was SO friendly that after much conversation, it turned out that our families came from the same place, and, long story short, she ended up baking my husband a birthday cake the next day, which she presented with candles and champagne. In all our extensive travels, we had never experienced such a sweet gesture by the proprietor of a hotel. Thank you, Carmen -- you are the sweetest! I'd also like to add that she ordered a taxi for us for a middle of the night flight departure the next morning, and everything went without a hitch. It was an altogether great experience.

Breakfast was sumptous. It was fresh, hot, nicely presented and wholesome. The breakfast area is clean and tidy and the staff clear away as soon as guests finish eating. I was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness and polite nature of all the staff I encountered in my time there.
