What an amazing view of Lake Maggiore…definitely worth the drive up! Our hostess was so sweet, and we managed to communicate even with the language challenge. She served us the most delicious breakfast with many homemade items. The room was very clean, and modern, overlooking a beautiful garden, with majestic views of the lake.

Garni Morettina is a family-run hotel, located in the centre of Brissago, a 2-minute walk away from Lake Maggiore. Every room has a terrace or a balcony with lake view. The hotel is really charming and with some modern details. The breakfast was nice, well assorted, with a beautiful view. Highlights: - the attention of the owner, he is really attentive and charismatic, he makes you feel at home. - cleanliness! Everything impeccable. (Tip: Don’t miss out on the little patio on the 3rd floor).

Situated at the edge of Lake Maggiore, Hotel Garni Rivabella au Lac offers simply-furnished accommodation with free Wi-Fi. It benefits from direct lake access, a secluded garden and shaded terrace. We felt so welcome @ Rivabella. The room was very comfortable, with a view of the gardens & lake. The breakfast was excellent.

The Residenza Motta is a romantic Ticino house with a green Mediterranean courtyard in the heart of Old Town of Locarno, near the Piazza Grande and the Visconti Castle. The location is right in the middle of the central piazza area, very close walk to the station and easy to get to bus lines and the ferry. I loved my room, with one side facing into the beautiful private courtyard and the other overlooking the cute shopping street outside. Very nice kitchen, comfortable furniture. Barbara and Urs were so helpful in giving me advice about my trains, and very friendly and warm (comfortable communicating in English). I had my own table in the courtyard. Although there were other guests it stayed very quiet (doesn’t seem to be a party district) and I slept well every night. I would very happily stay here again in the future.

The family-run Hotel Garni Golf is located in the heart of Ascona’s Old Town, just steps away from the promenade and Lake Maggiore. Guests can benefit from free WiFi. The proprietors are the sweetest, kindest people and are dedicated to their guests’ comfort. The rooms are clean and well-appointed, and the breakfast is a delight. you are only a few steps from the lakeshore, restaurants, a gelateria and many interesting boutiques.
