She helped us when we ran out of money on our WeChat account, she didn't hesitate to send us some money on wechat and waited till the next day so we could find a money exchange centre and pay her. The location was perfectly accessible to all the spots. Hack: use the didi app for taxi, it's cheap and convenient.

The place is within walking distance to the cable car station (around 700 metres). So don't bother to book shuttle bus tickets to the great wall. In fact, the host can book all the necessary great wall tickets for you at the standard price if you let him know in advance. The host also provided us with breakfast and dinner at no additional charge. The host used to be in the eatery business. So the food provided taste really great. You can also arrange for the host to pick you up from the airport and to your next destination at a reasonable fee close to taxi rates. The Great Wall was the first place I visited when I landed in Beijing. I had already booked all the tickets in my itinerary beforehand. If I hadn't done that, I would have taken up the host's offer to take us to the Ming Tombs. I am pretty sure the charges would have been quite reasonable as well. Overall, my stay here was really great value for money.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, and the rooms are beautiful and big, with a big desk. The interior of the hotel is so cosy and tasteful, and everything is comfortable. It's just a short 15-20 minute drive to historical places and beautiful promenades for walking, and there are lots of cafes and street food nearby.
