The rooms, with lovely balconies, overlook the sea, and the breakfast room is light and airy with the same open sea view. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and a variety of fresh baked cakes as well as yoghurt, fruit, cheese pastries, eggs etc. The staff were cheerful, kind and helpful. We loved Simos beach, which had the most amazing crystal clear water and soft sand; and the harbour town to promenade in the evening where you can pick a taverna for dinner on the seafront.

Located in Elafonissos, within 500 metres from the beach, the stone-built Elafonissos Resort features a pool, a furnished sun terrace and a modernly decorated poolside bar. Everything! The food was delicious. Breakfast was a dream. Everything was always clean not just the rooms but the pool area, reception, even the parking was well taken care of.

Filoxenia Hotel is situated 300 metres from the bridge connecting to the castle and the Old Town of Monemvasia. It offers comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi and is only 20 metres from the beach. I stayed in a double with a good size balcony and a lovely view of the island. The room was larger than expected, with a small fridge and tea kettle, which was appreciated. The hotel is located close to the causeway to Monemvasia, and there is a beach across the street. Parking spots are easy to find. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future!

Annema Hotel is a quiet and friendly hotel offering the perfect opportunity for quiet outdoor relaxation by the coast of Monemvassia. Amazing location on the beach. Extremely clean rooms. Nikos was very helpful in everything. He and Androns actually saved us when our rented car broke up: They arranged with the rental company taxis that took us to the airport.

Coralli Rooms & Restaurant is located on Elafonisos, just 500 metres from the ferry port connecting the island with the Peloponnese peninsula. Some units have views of the sea or garden. We had a wonderful visit. The staff was friendly, helpful and wonderful at all counts. Will definitely return to this establishment.

The Limira Mare Hotel lies right on the southern tip of the Laconian gulf. Free wireless internet and wired internet are available in the lobby. It was better than expected. The room was perfect, calm and in a nice location. Very good for vacation
