Everything you could possibly need on the island is provided (e.g. snorkeling gear, bicycles…). The villa is clean and looks great! You immediately get a comfortable feeling there. The breakfast is also very good and the staff was super nice and helpful with anything! I can really recommend this place. Also they had really good restaurant recommendations which we followed every day. The bed was comfortable and clean, you could even choose between a hard or soft pillow.

We stayed at Villa Kayu on Gili Air for my wife’s 50th birthday celebrations, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness by Gary, the owner, and Dian, the general manager. Their hospitality set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The villa itself is beautifully maintained—spotlessly clean, well-appointed, and offering everything we could possibly need for a comfortable retreat. Dian went above and beyond to arrange a fantastic boat trip for my wife's birthday, allowing us to snorkel at several stunning spots where we encountered vibrant marine life, including plenty of fish and turtles. Upon returning to the villa, we were touched by the thoughtful gesture from the staff—a lovely handwritten note, delicious cookies, and a stunning birthday cake made entirely out of fresh fruit. It was the perfect way to end the day! While the villa is not beachfront, it remains an excellent value for money given its quality and the exceptional service provided. We would rate the villa a solid 9, with the staff deserving an unwavering 10 for their warmth, attentiveness, and generosity. The hospitality of the Indonesian people has truly left us in awe, making this trip an experience we will cherish forever. The place is even nicer in person than in the pictures. Loved any minute there.
