In my villa type, there was a huge bath, a private bath deck to cool off on, a sauna, and a massage chair. It was all enjoyable and extremely high quality. The floors in the living room could be heated and there was A/C in every room. They even included 5-7 free drinks in the fridge! The appliances in the kitchen were all so high quality, including a microwave/oven/grill, rice cooker, nespresso pod brewer (coffee and decaf provided), and dishwasher. There is a washer/dryer combo as well (drying does take <4 hours). There are some food options available in the vending machine area, like instant curry and rice. 7 minute walk to station, 5 minute walk to supermarket. This place was SO thoughtfully designed. 100%, I’ve never been in a nicer accommodation. I even got it for a great price in January (54,000円 for two nights, number of guests didn’t raise the price). I’d stay again. And again!

Then, the hot springs shower and tub was super special. It truly was healing to our bodies that were a bit worn out from travel. Yes, stay here! We hope to stay longer next time. It was a little hard to find. Yet, a kind gentleman was watching out for us and directed us.

The entire house was nicely designed. Very open concept layout and spacious. The balcony was outstanding for breakfast on a sunny day. Check in was smooth and parking was spacious.

The property is non-smoking and is located 26 km from Shirakawa Station. Super family friendly with all the amenities and white goods, easy to use dining area and a great digital heated fireplace for the cold season. Large porch for family get togethers. Bathroom was spacious and clean too. Carpark space was ample, with a convenience store just a min by car. Will definitely be back again.

The property is located 2.4 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, 20 km from Kegon Falls and 2.9 km from Rinno-ji Temple. Ryuzu Waterfall is 25 km away and Urushi Museum is 600 metres from the holiday home. It was a wonderful experience over there. The land lady picked us up fron Tobu station and was really friendly and guide us which places we should visit. We were amazed by the wooden work of the the cottage.

Guests at the holiday home can enjoy hiking nearby, or make the most of the garden. Great location, not too close to the major tourist sight to be quiet and chill, but close enough walking distance to feel comfortable. It was a special place since it felt very homey, staying at a private home of the owner, who was very kind and helpful, but also gave you all the privacy you would need to feel cozy. Loved the traditional Japanese experience and felt privileged to have access to that private experience as a tourist. Wonderful places to eat nearby.
