This is a very special property in the ancient heart of Evora. Historic area but beautifully renovated and modernised cottage. Lovely decor with lots of attention to detail. Very comfortable for family of 5. Great showers/bathrooms. Kitchenette for limited food preparation, but thoughtfully equipped with good quality crockery. Extras supplied - soap, coffee pods, salt and vinegar, placemats -appreciated. Lovely patio dining table al fresco in picturesque courtyard. Kids loved the TV viewing available. Very responsive and super helpful host. A tip about the cork factory on our departure (Corticarte) turned out to be one of the highlights of our Portugal trip.

Boasting garden views, CASA DA VIZINHA, QUINTA DAS MEMÓRIAS features accommodation with barbecue facilities and a balcony, around 4.9 km from Marvao Castle. We wish we could have stayed longer! Natalia & Mario are the sweetest hosts and gave us such a warm welcome to their beautiful home! We very much regretted that we hadn’t booked a longer stay. The attention to detail and coziness of the house, the peacefulness and privacy of the garden, the smell of cut grass, trees and roses offer such rest and comfort. The location is perfect for exploring the villages of the area (Marvao, Castell do Vide, Portalegre..) or to make some of the many nature walks. The breakfast is just amazing: every morning they bring fresh bread that is left at the door, together with the homemade jam, sausages, free range eggs…the experience has been marvellous and we will return for another bit of heaven.

Wonderful renovation of a traditional Portuguese village house - we loved our stay and the area. the property is pleasantly located, very clean and quiet with parking immediately outside the gate.
