One of the highlights was how many benches are placed along the sea, perfect for sitting down, taking your time, and simply enjoying the view. The city is clean, welcoming, and refreshingly multicultural. There’s a great mix of people, languages, and cultures, which makes exploring all the more interesting. One of the nicest cities in Europe.
One of the nicest cities in Europe. It has many great places to go to, and you can easily maintain a balanced, healthy lifestyle here, which is a challenge in some cities. Of course, you can see at times a problem with immigration, and there are some incidents here and there (sadly, I've had some problems with the black community, which I had to report to Swedish police). On the other hand, native Swedish people are very welcoming and kind. And, generally, the city has this vibe that you want to be part of it. Maybe it's because of people, maybe the aesthetics, architecture, maybe the healthier lifestyle, or maybe a combination of everything. For those who prefer walking to public transportation or taxis, I suggest going in late spring or early autumn, since temperatures peak at 28-30°C in the summer. There are many places with good food and coffee, including filter coffee, but most of the places in the Old Town and the surrounding area probably lack air conditioning.
