Villa Walton Bed & Breakfast offers accommodation within a historic homestead, established in 1904. Location wise was fantastic for us. During our stay we visited the Hobbiton Movie Farm and enjoyed a day at the Waitomo Caves. Breakfast was a banquet and sustained us for an entire day. Having enjoyed beautifully prepared fresh fruits, baked goods and a hearty cooked breakfast. The room was stunning over looking the beautiful gardens, the bed was super comfy and the spa was so relaxing. Sue and Neil were fantastic hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay a very memorable one. We felt so comfortable and at home in their gorgeous home and gardens and are so grateful for the warm welcome we received. Highly recommend Vila Walton, you won't be disappointed.

It was an outstanding experience to stay with housewithnonails. The house itself is a true miracle, and Jen's hospitality is the top of all. Featuring a garden, pool with a view and inner courtyard views, Fantail Garden is located in Walton. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. Nice & clean, very friendly hosts & overall a great place to stay for the night. Loved that they had nice bathroom products as I forgot my personal ones & didn't have to use cheap single packets like other places. Also my daughter loved feeding the baby lambs in the morning!

The Red Shed is a recently renovated guest house in Matamata, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. It was so comfortable & because we had teenagers the pool table was used until they got too tired to stay up A small reserve area next to the property gave those that vaped somewhere to go for a walk & vape. My grandson left his watch behind & the host was kind enough to ring & let us know & put it in the post at no charge to us. I would highly recommend & we will definitely stop there again

The location is very good, the room facilities are complete, the house is very new, the room is very large, we spent a wonderful holiday here, it’s fantastic here, it’s great value for money.

Matamata Central Motel is a 20-minute drive from the Hobbiton Movie Set & Farm Tours, where parts of the Lord of the Rings trilogy were being filmed. Showers were excellent. Beds were super comfy. For a motel, it is certainly a lot more comfort than we had expected. Well done!
