Great staff !! The best people there.. down fall every thing is styrofoam- so I couldn’t have what I wanted but the ladies did find me an alternative plate( allergy to styrofoam)
Valparaiso is a friendly, accessible city. It is easy to get to the Indiana Dunes National Park at the bottom of Lake Michigan. And it has a very good used book shop ten minutes away in nearby Wanatah, Indiana

I had to rush my boyfriend to the closest hospital which was Valparaiso Medical Center. The staff was not friendly at all and they just seen him for less than an hr and sent him on his way because he didn’t have his insurance card with him but has insurance that they didn’t want to take the time out of their night to look up the information. They didn’t give him an IV or anything for pain as he came in complaining of dehydration, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, pain, etc.Wouldn’t recommend!die before going here. The hotel we stayed was very accommodating I would recommend staying here at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson.Clean rooms, clean lobby, unfriendly morning staff manager!

Spent the night in Valpo after hiking Indiana Dunes National and State Parks. Cute town with great restaurant scene. We ate at DonQuijotes on the Lincoln Highway (main street in town). Excellent Spanish cuisine. After, we walked around a bit (we're keen to look at houses and gardens). Really nice late 19th and early 20th century houses on Washington. Really good blues combo outside the wine bar on Washington St., which added ambiance to the walk.

Born and raised in Valparaiso, not truly been back for any length of time in 55 years. It has grown into a Little Chicago! But the love in the country sites and people are same as ever --- wonderful!!!

Really don't think that our review of Valparaiso would be applicable, as we spent the for 70+ years of lives in NW Indiana. We just returned to the area (from Ohio) to attend our 70th HS Reunion.
Fantastic hotel, and very low priced for the quality of the room and facilities. The pool and hot tub were excellent - easily in the top 10% of hotels I've stayed at. The room was large, well set out, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast had a smallish selection but had all the usual stuff you'd want, plus a waffle-maker! The staff are friendly and efficient, check in and check out were a breeze.
Good nearby access to restaurants and area stores. Building and room was clean. Our daughter appreciated the way housekeeping left her stuffed animal tucked in bed. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. They make the hotel better than the impression of the property. It's not bad, but it could use updating.
Probably the best location for an overnight stay to be close to the university. Simple drive, only a few minutes away. There is a burger king nearby across the street and some other restaurants very close as well.
The breakfast was excellent and the hotel was clean and upgraded well. The breakfast attendant on Sunday was amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate me and my children. Very friendly and welcoming.
