The welcome from Sylvie, Sebastian and Sarah was just fabulous. A coffee, a detailed chat about things to see and in Bordeaux all marked on a map. Lovely bedroom and fabulous home made breakfast. Merci....

The lovely Nathalie has proved to go the extra mile for her guests. She sorted out the street parking for us, she gave us 2 city passes from other guests who left earlier, she recommended excellent places to go for dinner, and on the last day she made us the breakfast earlier than she should, just to accommodate it with our departure…the place spotless, lovely breakfast with homemade jam… Highly Recommended….🙌

The apartment had everything you could need. Very clean and brand new. The owner had also provided us with some basic food items, like coffee, tea, sugar, oil-vinegar, etc. plus a bottle of Bordeaux wine on arrival! Because it is located in the backyard of a house, it is very quiet. Only a 5-minute walk to the nearest tram (line C), which will take you to the St Jean train station and the lively downtown area. A very nice place to base from and discover the beautiful city of Bordeaux.

We absolutely LOVED staying at Chteau Fleur D'Aya! We were immediately made to fee super welcome and in fact on our first night we chose to sit and eat our dinner (bought from a local supermarket) with Henri and loved listening to his stories about the amazing restoration he implemented at the Chateaux. The Chateaux is a fabulous mix of historical beauty and modern interior design - it has been renovated in a stunningly sensitive and clever way and we loved staying somewhere so different! The beds were super comfortable and the shower and bath etc were wonderful. We actually did not find the time to get a swim in as we at two Rugby World Cup matches to attend but it looked wonderful and the hosts were super relaxed about us using it at any time. We are hoping to make a return sometime in the future when we have more time to enjoy the Chateau and Bordeaux and it's surroundings.
