After a disappointing experience in Malta I decided to take some time out and visit Gozo (namely to escape both the accommodation I booked and its location on the mainland). Gozo and Bliss where a game changer. The accommodation itself I found exceptional, the beds were comfy, breakfasts were fantastic and the staff were a godsend, not to say that I also fell in love with Gozo and in particular Xaghra. Bliss also sported a rooftop pool with majestic views of the island, the rooms were spotless and I can't say enough about the management. Xaghra was a pleasant 15 to 20 minute walk from the hotel, however given the quality of the restaurants it is a worthwhile walk and after a bottle of the local red it makes for a wonderful walk back to the accommodation. Bliss Boutique is unlike its rivals in Malta where the Boutique standard is not just in name!

Casa Gemelli is located in Victoria on the island of Gozo, between the Astra and Aurora theatres. It offers air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. Great comfortable room, good AC, great view of the citadel, amazing staff and perfect a la carte breakfast. Absolutely recommended for everyone!

Home Mood B&B er nýlega enduruppgert gistiheimili sem staðsett er í Għarb, 300 metrum frá Ta' Pinu-basilíkunni. Það býður upp á útisundlaug og sundlaugarútsýni. Everything Excellent location, friendly owners, beautifully restored home. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Swimming pool and facilities 5 star.

The Carob Tree er nýlega enduruppgert gistiheimili í Victoria, 2,8 km frá Xlendi-ströndinni, og státar af útisundlaug og sundlaugarútsýni. The room is well equipped and cozy. There’s also shared kitchen, coffee machine(better than the one in most of hotels) and refrigerator for guests. Breakfast is more than enough. The best part is the welcoming and helpful host.

Ta' Dun Martin Bed and Breakfast er staðsett í Nadur, í innan við 2,1 km fjarlægð frá Ramla taz-Zewwieqa-ströndinni og 2,3 km frá Gorgun-ströndinni en það býður upp á herbergi með loftkælingu og... Everything was perfect! Very clean typical rooms. Laurie is very pleasant and available. The breakfast was delicious ! And the view from the pool is a real treat.

San Pawl B&b farmhouse er staðsett 2,8 km frá Marsalforn-ströndinni og býður upp á vatnaíþróttaaðstöðu, sjóndeildarhringssundlaug og loftkæld gistirými með verönd og ókeypis WiFi. Host is very helpful and generous. He suggested some tourist spots and prepared a really good breakfast for us. He even gave us some discounts and free drinks in his restaurant. 10/10!

Ellie Boo er staðsett 2,8 km frá Mġarrix-Xini-ströndinni og býður upp á loftkæld gistirými með verönd. Gististaðurinn er með garð og útsýni yfir hljóðláta götu og er 2,9 km frá Cittadella. John and Tina are excellent friendly, informative hosts. From our arrival until we left we were made to feel very welcome. Their lovely B&B was exceptionally clean and comfortable and breakfast was fresh and more than enough to start the day. Access to public transport is nearby, with easy bus transport to Ramla beach, Victoria centre (and the amazing Cittadella), Ggantija, and the ferry at Mgarr (take bus 323, get off at Kraba, and you are practically at the front door). A few minutes walk gave us access to the centre square in Xewkija, with inexpensive restaurants and the imposing dome of the Rotunda of St John the Baptist church. We highly recommend an extended visit to Gozo and in particular staying at Ellie Boo and I'm sure we'll be back.
