What an awesome find , this lovely motel in a quiet location is a beautiful oasis. I was greeted warmly by the lovely Kerrie , the grounds and gardens are just beautiful, very spacious rooms, spotlessly clean, comfy bed and a couple of minutes drive to the town for restaurants and supermarket or a short 8 min drive to Cobram if you cant find what you need in Barooga.

If you are a golfer then this is the place for you, but if you don’t play golf but don’t mind a nice club to dine at and maybe play pokies or bet on the horses or even play some virtual games, then this is the spot for you. Magnificent weather and The Sportsman’s Motor Inn is in the perfect location to take advantage of all that is on offer. We have stayed there many times and it never fails to deliver. Just over the bridge is Cobram and it too is a lovely town with lots to offer. The slogan up there should be “Everyone Should Hurry To The Murray!”

I would suggest stopping at the RACV at Cobram if considering a leisure holiday to sightsee or play golf etc. Especially if you have children.
The pool at the Barooga Aquatic Centre is only small & busy however the staff are very pleasant. Golf is fairly expensive as it is everywhere but the Sporties Club is very nice & modern and well worth a visit.

absolutely loved the place we stayed we enjoyed the quiet and the park’s facilities my son was having so much fun at the park we didn’t need to go out to entertain him we enjoyed a bbq dinner and just the place itself was amazing even though it was to cold to go in the pool my son loved walking along the bridge and seeing the owls

Aircon was excellent, 37 degress when we got there, and Unit was cooled down in minutes .
WI Fi was also excellent and easy to connect.
Bathroom and Kitchen facilities were also good.
BBQ area was quite large and a fridge and utensils were provided.
Massive grounds for kids to play and paddle in the pool.
We will be back there in the near future.

The Pub was fabulous, great food, great service and courtesy bus was very handy. Sporties was good to watch footy or sport, new TAB is dark and dingy in the middle with no light. Give the Bistro at Sporties a miss the staff are efficious and the food is dodgy (except the steaks).

It was a very quiet, relaxing place to visit, with immaculately kept golf courses. People are friendly and the Botanical Gardens are beautiful for a nice walk. Cobram is a few minutes drive away and is just as lovely.
The location was superb. Just across the road from a beautiful Botanic Garden. Jacqueline was very welcoming and not obtrusive, but was on hand if any issues arose. Lovely clean pool and covered bbq area. There was a nearby IGA, and Chemist within walking distance. My friend and I can totally recommend the Chinese Restaurant nearby for dine-in and take-away. Also we enjoyed a couple of meals at the Barooga Hotel. All in all, our week’s stay was wonderful. 10/10.
My partner and i were in Barooga for a golf competition, and our accom was a perfect distance from where we needed to be.
The owners are lovely and very welcoming.
We didn't have a chance to use the pool, but it looked really good.
The common area for everyone to access was really nice. It was nice sitting outside at night rather than being stuck in a room.
We will definitely stay here again for the next golf weekend.
Perfect and Quite Location, easy Check-In and quite possibly the most Comfy bed and pillows that i have ever slept in. 5 Minute walk to the Barooga Pub, 2-3 Minute drive to Cobram Barooga Golf course, IGA 3-4 minute walk with a Bottle shop. Just a beautiful part of the world. Spacious Apartment with all the basics that you need and having Foxtel was a great bonus. Would most definitely stay again.

The location of the hotel is wonderful, its a short walking distance to the sports club and multiple golf course if that interests you. The staff was wonderful with a friendly greeting right from the start and when we had an issue it was addressed immediatly and rectified within the hour.
Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and airy, and, ideal for a family stay. We were only two people but the room would have comfortably slept four over two separate rooms. We are seriously looking at a group booking of family and friends, we were so impressed
Our room was lovely and clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was egg & Bacon Muffin with Juice served lovely and hot to your room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here and within walking distance of Sports Club.
everything all perfect with room wonderful swimming pool which we enjoyed after a long day of driving. a lovely meal was enjoyed at barooga pub and was within walking distance, although we were offered a courtesy bus , which we took one way.
The rooms were well presented, very comfortable and lovely outlook, lots of amazing birds, close to clubs, Barooga Pub (excellent) and great river walks. Hosts were very helpful & friendly. We would highly recommend it to everyone.
super clean everywhere! mini golf and tennis so good. pool was awesome too! loved being able to see my 10year old from the room at all times. Kerry and graham cook an amazing breakfast too! highly recommend.
The staff were amazing and so considerate. The room itself was very cosy and immediately felt like home. I will always view the Barooga River Gum Hotel as the perfect choice of accomodation.
