Travelers who stayed in Sydney near Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) have said good things about Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel, Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport, an IHG Hotel, and Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport.
Rooms were clean, however, i didnt expect that the room is smaller than i thought. Pictures are misleading =)... but it's ok.The 3 of us fits ourselves in anyway.Bedsheets are neat and comfy, location is great it's just in the heart if the city. Very convenient to walk around. It's a good choice.. Thumbs up Sydney hotel CBD.
- Excellent, easy to use public transport - Can see a lot/ all of the city via foot - Public transport has many, easy payment options - Coffee is amazing!! - Food relative to Perth is much cheaper - Cocktails and drinks on average in the city are quite expensive - Andersons Adventure tours are great to see the Blue Mountains !
Great to have so many water fronts options the opera house was as expected to see and the bridge but did not climb as we thought to expensive . Great boat trip around the harbour went on a fantastic guided tour to the blue mountains, the extra cost for the guided tour was well worth the money in our opinion was a full on day trip. people in Sydney, very friendly and helpful.. so easy to get around with the tram bus and trains plus you have the taxis .plenty of places to eat lots of Thai , Chinese, sushi, bars and steaks found a nice pancake bar, which done fantastic pancakes, we did not come across anything negative in Sydney .
I can really only rate Manly as the purpose of our visit was limited to there Great walks to Balgowlah and Shelly beach and along Manly lagoon ,Walked 10-12 km every day Fresh produce at Harris farms Good coffee Look out for Norma's deli for good breakfast and providore Also try the BoatShed for location and food
Hotel stay was to attend a nearby show with friends, so the location in the inner city was extremely handy with access to valet style parking under the hotel at very reasonable rates. We werev able to walk around in the early morning via Barangaroo and under the iconic harbour bridge to Circular Quay for breakfast watching the ferries arrive and depart and a visiting cruise ship load up the next round of passengers. Lovely views of the harbour on a clear sunny day was a bonus. Visited the NSW Art Gallery after leaving the hotel and explored the new additional space opened recently - well worth while.
Very good stay with good washing facilities to help you travel further on through this country to other places you wish to visit with clean laundry (only wish there was detergent available in the hotel -did not know where to purchase it from?) The stay was comfortable and excellent - Thank you - would stay again!
I loved my stay at the Little National. I had stayed in similar ‘little’ hotels in London so was pleasantly surprised at how large the room was and the super king-sized bed was incredible! Loved the smart features for lights and blinds. I order Uber Eats a number of times and food was brought up to my room with a cutlery pack straight away. I arrived at 10.30am and was fortunate a room was ready. Location was perfect as it’s right above Wynyard Station, very convenient to get to and from the airport.
I've always like the location of this hotel. I used to stay here when it was branded as another hotel chain - it very close to everything, and the food options plus a supermarket close by are an attraction for me. The rooms are a little dated and basic but clean and the beds comfortable, which is a little more than I expected for the price. Good value for money in comparison to other CBD hotels and the Reception staff were helpful and friendly.
Sydney Central Business District, Sydney
Nicely run big hostel right across the street from Central Station. Only 15 min by train to the airport and can walk to Sydney Harbour and other attractions. We had a private room with bunk beds, which was nice and clean. There are shared bathrooms on the floor. Large kitchen and dining area on another level. Lots of events organized by the hostel (ie free pizza, beach tour).
This is such a simple and relaxed place to stay. Not a high end hotel and so much better for that. The complimentary breakfast was generous and the breakfast area is so much better than the photos. This is a lovely part of the city - very little traffic, harbour, parks, Art Gallery and Botanic Gardens excellent restaurants, cafes and hotels nearby.
Great location of this hotel - close to station so quick trip to Sydney CBD - easy access to places I needed to go - beautiful views of Harbour - close to shopping, food mall - clean bathroom - daily cleaning as required - small fridge to stock refreshments - quiet room - good sleeps and comfortable bed - good air con and easy to adjust
Quiet rooms. Rooms look nicer than the photos. They have a boutique hotel vibe rather than the standard decor you get at some hotels. Nice to be greeted by warm welcoming staff. Lovely breakfast. The fruit was perfectly ripe and fresh. The scrambled eggs were particularly good. Location is great for mid town Sydney CBD.
Stayed there years ago when it was the Westin, it was one of our favourite places we had stayed. New ownership after Covid, good to see they haven’t changed anything. The clock tower and old post office building is one of the most beautiful backdrops for a hotel in the middle of CBD. 10/10 for everything.
I loved the art deco style of the hotel. It was stunning. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was a good size. The location in the CBD was perfect because we were in between two train stations that were walking distance, close to darling harbour and shopping mall.
close to airport, staff checking in were friendly. staff in dining area were great to deal with. room was well presented and most importantly not like other hotels near the airport we have stayed in before, this one was quiet. no outside noise and no noises from aircon
VERY CLOSE to the International airport. Had a very early flight and this was well worth the money. Be careful of other hotels that say airport, they are close to the domestic airport and are NOT close to the international airport.
It's very close to the airport, but also to some neighborhoods with a pretty diverse array of things to do (not common with airport hotels). There's a great pie place right across from them that makes a good latte.
Great location in central city, rooms very compact with not a lot of space for luggage, bed was very hard. Remembering it is in Sydney CBD it was good value but not in comparison to other cities and hotels.
The staff is friendly and easy to talk to. Easy check-in process. They accommodated a late check-out for me at no extra cost. Close to Airport and not that far from CBD.
Close to Central Station to get to the airport early in the morning. Easy walk to Chinatown and CBD shopping. Didn’t eat in the restaurant/bar but it looked good.
