Nice city. People are generally friendly & helpful. A lady staff at the town hall station was extremely helpful when we reached the station at night for direction to the castlereagh hotel on 30/11/17. Public servants in particular are primely important to make a difference for all tourist. Public servants are usually the first line of contact for any visitor to a new country. The gentleman who checked us in at the castlereagh hotel on the night of our arrival on 30/11/17 was extremely helpful and efficient in getting us into our room. He is a cheerful lot each day when we meet him at the front desk. Hotel is very clean and convenient. Hotel has a self service laundry facility at no extra charge, very useful. Room is a little small though, but, the service and efficiency of the staffs made it up to all. Kudos 💪🏼Castlereagh.. will return at the next opportunity. F&B, supermarket & shopping are all close by. However, the shops close very early, making it rather boring if one prefers to shop than drink or party! Luckily, the supermarket WOOLWORTHS closes at 10pm and that is a bonus for us. We love Woolloomooloo Darlinghurst, rushcutters bay, Pitts point and barangaroo.. each has its charm and flavour! Interesting architecture skyline too.
Rooms were clean, however, i didnt expect that the room is smaller than i thought. Pictures are misleading =)... but it's ok.The 3 of us fits ourselves in anyway.Bedsheets are neat and comfy, location is great it's just in the heart if the city. Very convenient to walk around. It's a good choice.. Thumbs up Sydney hotel CBD.
Wow. what a fun place. Friendly people, quaint restaurants, cafes and bars. Great transportation from trams to ferries. We were there for four days. We had tours booked for three days and still didn't see everything. I would recommend getting the off/on bus tour so you can scope out certain places and then you have a better idea of where things are. Get an Opal card and use the ferry system and trams to get to a lot of the places.
Sydney always has plenty to do.Lots of attractions, markets, shopping or just walking around darling harbour, doing tours, walking through china town and Trying out all the restaurants Sydney has to offer. We found customer service a bit lacking. Restaurants excellent and very well priced.
Sydney is a city that has something for everyone ,it has the arts ,wide variety of shopping, nightlife eg clubs bars music entertainment, live bands that regional areas of NSW miss out on The Enmore theatre one of the greatest live venue sites in Australia that still showcases live music theatre to audiences from Aussie bands eg intametely that stadium arenas will never do .Traffic is mayhem at the best of times. The Queen Hotel in Newtown great place for a drink..Newtown has a Bohemian ,hipster kind of vibe about it ,it is one of the cool parts of Sydney with friendly faces ✌️
Friendly weather . Water interests and many eateries. Shop for special gifts. Take in the cultural diversity. Museums, Art galleries. Parks historic churches and a few good bookshops with coffee tres bien.
Hotel lives up to it's name - amazing harbour view with large windows to showcase it. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean. Room service very fast and no issues with check in/our or reception. 100m from North Sydney station so very convenient for public transport. Great area for dining/drinking. Also 5min walk from Lavender Bay and parks. Breakfast was buffet style but staff were serving (due to COVID?), very delicious hot and cold options, the restaurant has a view of the harbour as well.
Arguably the most central hotel of all in Sydney. The hotel is a conversion of the historic Sydney General Post Office and sits in suitably grand surroundings. Walking distance to everything, CBD, shopping, restaurants, Opera House etc. The hotel recently passed from Westin to Fullerton, you could not wish for a better operator to take the hotel forward. The well equipped rooms have been carried forward and service is what you would expect in the Fullerton Singapore.
The location is excellent, right in the middle of the CBD. The Queen Victoria Building is close by and it’s an easy walk to Darling Harbour. We’re walkers, so we walked everywhere - the Rocks, Chinatown, The Phantom, playing at Mrs MacQuarie’s Seat. We arrived by taxi but left on the Airport train which is only a short walk from the hotel (St James Station). Breakfast is very good. The staff are friendly and helpful.
I liked the view, the simplicity was good for the 2 days that I was there. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, when I got lost I called them for help with directions and they were so patient with me. Food locations nearby so you were never hungry. The hotel was not located directly in the Sydney CBD (Harbour Bridge) but it was close enough to uber there and back or catch the train in 10mins.
Mascot, Sydney
This hotel is very close to the Sydney Airport domestic terminal and so it nice and convenient for travellers. The room itself was very spacious with a large bed, good desk fro working and fridge/microwave in the room. I stayed for six nights and could easily have stayed for longer. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Sydney for business or need a short stop over.
The tariff is very competitive indeed for accommodation so close to the Sydney CBD. The location is very close to the Neutral Bay ferry terminal. Good views of the harbour. Within walking distance of Kirribilli shopping precinct. The room was large with modern, clean contemporary bathroom. The bed was king size and comfortable. The WiFi reception was good.
We booked a suite because it was one of the few rooms available. The room itself was outstanding value for Sydney. The staff kept the room clean and well-stocked. The view of the CBD was excellent and if it weren't for new construction, we would have had a perfect view of the Harbour Bridge. The Japanese restaurant is outstanding too.
Room was clean and comfortable, definitely worth the price compared to the other hotels across the city. There was a little issue with my room when I checked-in, however the front office lady was very approachable and helpful. She re-arranged me with a new room immediately! Cheers to the amazing staff in the front office and concierge!
As our tours were leaving from Kings Wharf, this hotel is in an ideal position. The harbour view also was amazing. Room size is excellent and the bathroom is the best we have ever experienced. It is easy to move around and the shower is easy walk in. The bed was delightful, not too hard like some other top hotels.
Excellent car parking rates for central Sydney (at the time of this review $25 per day, which is half that of some other Sydney CBD hotels). Very clean (as always) and well organised for Covid (a new factor for a review!). Nice staff. PS an excellent Thai restaurant is next door but one, highly recommended
Very clean and comfortable ... size ideal for solo traveller once I worked out where to put the suitcase ... under the raised bed ... even had a balcony ... location great ... Darling Harbour ... Pyrmont ... walking distance to CBD and the light rail even with a suitcase and then transport for the airport.
Great location, close to central station, so easy to get around Sydney. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean modern rooms with a sensible number of charging outlets for phones and other gadgets - something many other hotels fail miserably at. Perfect for a few days visiting Sydney.
Customer Service was magnificent! Have stayed in a few hotels in Sydney CBD and staff can be quite arrogant but not At The Grace. Megan was exceptionally lovely and so was the staff on floor on Friday evening.
The hotel is close to the Sydney airport, which was convenient for my short trip of two nights. There are cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance, which was really great.
a good airport hotel. nothing overly fancy and not disappointing. Good if you have an early plane or need a one night stay in Sydney before departure.
AMAZING view - better than anything I could’ve expected, and this has now jaded me for any other Sydney CBD hotels. Bed was super comfortable as well.
Close enough to walk to the domestic terminal in around 10 minutes - as are a number of other hotels nearby.
incredible building and exceptional staff it was our first stay at QT and my birthday and made me feel so special
Staff were amazing, very friendly and approachable. Will definitely stay again
Just absolutely amazing. Beautiful beautiful clean suits!
