Hotel in Mascot, Sydney
Ibis budget Sydney Airport is located just 10 minutes’ walk from the domestic terminal and railway station, and a 10-minute drive from the international terminal. The hotel is very close to the domestic terminal and easy to access with the shuttle. I thought it would be noisy as so close, but it was surprising quiet. The bed was very comfortable and a great shower with good hot water pressure. There is a restaurant next door at the Mantra, or you can walk to KFC or Maccas for a snack. There was a room to store my bags so that I did not have to take them all up to my room.

Travelers who stayed in Sydney near Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) have said good things about Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel, Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport, an IHG Hotel, and Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport.
Rooms were clean, however, i didnt expect that the room is smaller than i thought. Pictures are misleading =)... but it's ok.The 3 of us fits ourselves in anyway.Bedsheets are neat and comfy, location is great it's just in the heart if the city. Very convenient to walk around. It's a good choice.. Thumbs up Sydney hotel CBD.
3 words to describe Sydney : green, green, green : marvellous botanical park beautyfull architecture people very friendly transportation very easy with Opal cart (available also for boat) and very quick museums are free entry city is very clean and everywhere you find clean and free toilets seawordlife museum : is worthwile, idem for zoo on island several sandy beaches close of centrum climate : warm but with small wind and sometimes local short rain ....
The blocks area in Sydney is a great spot for food and drinks. The Australian Hotel is a cool spot to check out. Public transportation in Sydney is great, plus there is Uber. Everything in the CBD area is walkable. For those that don't know, alcohol and beer are not sold in regular grocery and convenience stores. You have to find a bottle shop to buy beer and alcohol. It's much cheaper to drink at bars and restaurants.
Great theatre and shows, plenty of shopping if you're into that, beautiful parklands and harbour for walking, picnicking etc ... Sydney is relatively easy to get around on public transport. If you're driving make sure your GPS is up-to-date; there's been lots of road changes.
A vibrant, colorful city with plenty to see and do for almost anyone. The houses seem like a mix of European and American architecture, getting the best of both worlds, the house fronts are different and always exciting. You like old buildings with interesting features? No problem. You want to feel the rush of a XXI. century downtown? Sydney got you covered. Or you can take strolls on beaches, or beautiful immaculate botanical gardens, see a show in the opera house or have a fancy or just an all around solid dinner, Sydney will cater for any needs. I've been around the world quite a bit and seen a few places, and I was surprised that there is still a city which can make me feel this way. If you are planning to visit Sydney wait no further, it will be one fun ride, whatever you are into.
Sydney is my home town and a wonderful. clean and modern city, with history if you choose to see it. Wonderful restaurants from genuine asian to five star water front experiences. The harbour is iconic with ferry service to beautiful Manly, Mosman to the Zoo or right up to Parramatta. Easy access to everything by a hop on tram service and buses and trains, I would recommend to anyone wanting a stay with plenty of variety.
Location is excellent. One of cheapest hotels in Sydney with awesome views. Great pub downstairs. And there’s another bar on L4 with a number of lounges to sit in. Restaurant/bar on L5 but more formal-no flip flops allowed. Lovely staff and old historical building. Walk outside literally down some steps and you’re on the harbour. 15 minutes walk to opera house or you can cut through The Rocks area and walk in 5 minutes. The city is 10 minutes walk the other direction so everything is nearby.
This hotel is extremely well-located - close to the new light rail system and the train system (for the airport), shops, restaurants, the Royal Botanical Garden, the excellent art gallery, etc. - and just two light rail stops to Circular Quay (for the Opera House and the Rocks). It's a heritage hotel, and has so much more character than most modern hotels. We were also pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was, given its CBD location. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Beds were comfortable, shower hot, fluffy towels. Rooms and hotel in general, very clean. Staff were extremely helpful and easy to contact. When we arrived the air conditioning was not working and the concierge fixed it on no time. They also booked our taxis to the airport on departure and kept our luggage after checking out for us to collect later in the day. Good location, close to transport and restaurants. Would consider staying again.
It is obvious that an effort has been made to renovate and improve, with new carpet, big TVs etc... I particularly appreciate the linen on the bed. I also loved the fact I was given some vouchers to get my breakfast from the café next door, which is very good. The location of the hotel is also great, very near to Town Hall for transport, Darling Harbour and the CBD.
Beautiful renovated hotel with modern rooms and excellent staff, felt like the old way of doing hotels where you were treated like a customer not a number. Walking distance to nearly anything you could want but 10-15min to CBD. Hotel has higher end restaurant in it which was great for wine/drinks at night and breakfast or dinner anytime.
Great location of this hotel - close to station so quick trip to Sydney CBD - easy access to places I needed to go - beautiful views of Harbour - close to shopping, food mall - clean bathroom - daily cleaning as required - small fridge to stock refreshments - quiet room - good sleeps and comfortable bed - good air con and easy to adjust
Stayed there years ago when it was the Westin, it was one of our favourite places we had stayed. New ownership after Covid, good to see they haven’t changed anything. The clock tower and old post office building is one of the most beautiful backdrops for a hotel in the middle of CBD. 10/10 for everything.
Sydney Central Business District, Sydney
Location is perfect for the Sydney CBD. Room is cosy and has great design touches. Overall interior design is up there with luxury design hotels. Bar and and upstairs restaurant is a unique rooftop style experience rare to find in Sydney
It's very close to the airport, but also to some neighborhoods with a pretty diverse array of things to do (not common with airport hotels). There's a great pie place right across from them that makes a good latte.
It’s my choice of hotels to stay if I’m coming into Sydney CBD , I love its proximity to my Fav Thai restaurant . It’s one of the best value rates and always includes breakfast , parking is cheap at $40 too
We stayed here for an event at Olympic Park. Hotels very neat, all needs met, comfy bed and clean bathroom. Good location to local shops and transport. Lovely host.
closest hotel to the Sydney airport. Good value. Quiet and comfortable. Has a restaurant which many hotels do not. Huge shower and nicely appointed bathroom.
Easy walk from the train station from CBD to the hotel. Then easy shuttle from hotel to airport the next day ($10 per person). Staff were very friendly.
a good airport hotel. nothing overly fancy and not disappointing. Good if you have an early plane or need a one night stay in Sydney before departure.
The room was bigger than expected. The location was quite nice - close to the airport and walking distance from CBD, and main landmarks.
The convenience of the big shopping mall next door, my wife loved it, the hotels carpark and easy access driving to the CBD and back.
