Very clean and safe city - world class by any standards. However, pretty expensive (even for a Canadian!) and the main tourist attractions were far too crowded for my liking. Our travels along the east coast though, up to Rockhampton, were superb and most enjoyable - highly recommended.

An early morning walk with sunrise along the foreshore was the best, through the rocks along circular quay then through the botanic gardens before the city gets busy (apart from joggers) was just wonderful. That was amazing but that's me I like early mornings even after a 1 am bed time,, not for everyone.

Spectacular harbour with the iconic harbour bridge and opera house. China town has a great night time vibe with plenty of places with great food, at affordable prices. Bondi Beach was amazing. Wish we had spent more time in Sydney as there was plenty more to see.

I am not sure if my review about the famous Sydney is valid or not. Although it was pleasant trip for our family of three, myself, my wife, and a toddler with pram! It was difficult to go around and there was a minimum availability of accessibility. Even though in Sydney Opera house you should pass a lot of security to be able to use the lifts to access the above floors.

One of the most beautiful cities in the world! Walk or take public transportation everywhere. Tapping your credit card on and off for all the transportation is great! Everyone was friendly and willing to assist with any questions. Food is pricey. Take the ferry to the zoo!

Sydney is a large city with a great public transportation system. You can get anywhere by train, bus, tram or ferry at a very reasonable cost. There is no end of things to do in this city and so many dining choices. Eating here was so much fun. I’m normally not a fan of big cities but Sydney was great. I never felt threatened or uneasy at any time during my visit. I loved the Botanic Gardens and Hyde Park being so close to the city centre. The harbour in Sydney is like no where else in the world - it’s huge, busy and so accessible from anywhere with ferries and restaurants everywhere.

I have stayed in many hotels and this was the best. It is a small boutique hotel and some rooms like I had were very small. I knew this and it was perfect for me. The room had everything I needed and more and was so well thought out. Loved the Nespresso coffee machine and the bed was super comfortable and pillows amazing. A small cafe at reception and the food was excellent. I loved the place and will stay again. Great location too with 5 minute walk to Darling Harbour. Premium on a reasonable price.

Rydges is just too convenient when you’re going into or out of the international terminal at Sydney Airport. from the arrivals hall, keep heading right until you get to the end of the terminal. cross the street and you’re at Rydges. New, clean, quiet, comfortable. And BTW, if you think it would closer or easier to stay at the hotel in the airport if you’re transmitting like I was, it’s not, you still have to go through Customs and spend just as much time and effort to get there.

Situated close to Chinatown was absolutely perfect for a short walk to Paddy's Market, Central Railway Station & the Light Rail to give access to the Airport, Trains & Circular Quay with Ferries on Sydney Harbour to enjoy Taronga Zoo, Manly & a host of other destinations. The cleanliness of Maze was outstanding, due to the efforts of both Management & certainly the guests. Awesome.! Oh, and Maloney's Hotel only 50 metres walk away, is a "must" to visit. Trust me lol

Great central CBD location with a real boutique and cozy feel to the hotel. The decor feels grand throughout and the the room was spacious, bright, clean and a super comfy bed. Our room had a separate WC and shower which is great for couples. Staff were friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was delicious. Well worth the money compared to a lot of other hotels in the city.

Excellent location - short & easy walking distance to Darling Harbour / ferry wharf & Crown Barangaroo, within moderate walking distance to Circular Quay & Opera House via Observatory Hill Park or Argyle Street, close to CBD shopping. While contact with staff was limited they were helpful and obliging. The expressway above the building did not present any noise issues for us.
