Nice city. People are generally friendly & helpful. A lady staff at the town hall station was extremely helpful when we reached the station at night for direction to the castlereagh hotel on 30/11/17. Public servants in particular are primely important to make a difference for all tourist. Public servants are usually the first line of contact for any visitor to a new country. The gentleman who checked us in at the castlereagh hotel on the night of our arrival on 30/11/17 was extremely helpful and efficient in getting us into our room. He is a cheerful lot each day when we meet him at the front desk. Hotel is very clean and convenient. Hotel has a self service laundry facility at no extra charge, very useful. Room is a little small though, but, the service and efficiency of the staffs made it up to all. Kudos 💪🏼Castlereagh.. will return at the next opportunity. F&B, supermarket & shopping are all close by. However, the shops close very early, making it rather boring if one prefers to shop than drink or party! Luckily, the supermarket WOOLWORTHS closes at 10pm and that is a bonus for us. We love Woolloomooloo Darlinghurst, rushcutters bay, Pitts point and barangaroo.. each has its charm and flavour! Interesting architecture skyline too.
Rooms were clean, however, i didnt expect that the room is smaller than i thought. Pictures are misleading =)... but it's ok.The 3 of us fits ourselves in anyway.Bedsheets are neat and comfy, location is great it's just in the heart if the city. Very convenient to walk around. It's a good choice.. Thumbs up Sydney hotel CBD.
Sydney has something for everyone, almost. It ultimately depends on what you're after - if you're after the hustle and bustle of a cosmopolitan city like Madrid, Barcelona or Paris, you've got it here. There are so many options and they're not all in the same one part of town. Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, the other usual suspects - all beautiful (though it's very concrete jungle). However, if you're after the slower, more relaxed way of life, you will want to look elsewhere. It's interesting to see boutique designer brand shops that you wouldn't otherwise find in smaller cities, but this is also the mindless consumerist materialism that does not lead to personal, deep fulfilling happiness.
Could not fault the public transport system in a Sydney.. very easy to get around. Many sights to see and do. Highly recommend Maritime Museum and Bridge Climb. Good walking shoes S must in Sydney. Chinatown boasted many yummy reasonable priced eateries.
There's construction all over the city it can get noisy. Light rail is ok to Randwick and Glebe. Always check for weekend train trackwork. Regent square has good eateries. Shop at Newtown for books and clothes Walk all the way to Maroubra by the sea.
The harbour never disappoints and weather very good, even in Winter. The light rail up George St makes getting up to Circular Quay a breeze and from there the ferry service is excellent. Don't miss the views from the Opera house steps, or from Taronga Zoo, some of the best scenic views in Sydney. Also, try the cafe on the top floor of the museum of contemporary art. If you like traditional but brilliant Italian food and wonderful service, try Beppi's restaurant.
LOCATION. The Rydges Sydney Harbour is located in a heritage like area so do not expect it to be all glass and shiny. Its quite rustic and gives chill vibes away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney CBD which is a fifteen minute walk. You can see the harbour bridge outside your window if you get a good view, it’s a 2-3 minute walk to a cafe/restaurant and luxury brand shopping (Sydney galleria DFS) and 5 minute walk to the circular quay station. Take train from international airport to circular quay ($18.31-$19). 100% would stay again.
The location was perfect! Just a short 3 minute walk to Green Square train station and two stops from the airport. The staff were very friendly at both check in and departure. My room was small but tidy and came with a great shower, fridge and kitchenette facilities. The TV has a volume control which I liked because it stops ppl next door having it too loud late at night when you are trying to sleep as I have found in other hotels. I slept very well in the bed and found plenty of places to plug my chargers in around the room.
This hotel is always a pleasure to stay at! Highly recommend this beautiful hotel for anyone looking for a clean, fresh and comfortable stay. The rooftop pool and shower facilities are a huge bonus! The rooms are put together with high quality materials, you can tell! Also my personal favorites of this hotel are the really comfortable beds and superb shower experience! Can't recommend this hotel enough! Make sure you stay here at The Vibe Hotel Sydney, Darling Harbour!
Excellent location with beautiful view of the harbour and the opera house for half the price of other nearby hotels. Large room, with a sofa, dining table and big desk, plus a kitchenette. Both the bathroom and the kitchen had been up dated and re-tiled. Very comfortable bed. Double glazed windows made it very quiet. Right in the heart of The Rocks, convenience store two minute walk away, and a selection of restaurants and pubs very close, easy walk to Circular Quay.
Sydney
It was just fabulous. Location is ideal, just 2-3 minutes walk to railway station, ferry station just few minutes behind the hotel, various hotels, shops located quite nearby. Apartment was very clean with all necessary kitchen equipment, excellent for the family stay. Property is quiet away from the city traffic noise yet very conviniently located , near to all modes of transport. Very easy to travel to & from airport, major Sydney tourist spots.
the location of the hotel is ideal to enjoy Sydney Darling Harbour & Barangaroo precinct unless the casino is of interest to you. The room size is larger than normal double room and with good quality inclusions. Staff are most helpful and aim to make your stay comfortable. A good night sleep depend on how comfy was the bed - height, size, doona and firmness of the mattress all very good but the pillows were too soft - offer no support at all.
Very good location. Near from all main attractions: some steps from Sydney Cove, 30 min by walking from Sydney Opera. The best way to go from Sydney Airport to hotel is get a taxi. Is more cheaper that use Sydney subway (train). And you need take in consideration that the city is located on the hills and you need to go up or down by the stairs. Breakfast is good. Room is simple, but clean. Staff is very friendly.
- The room size was massive, - on quiet areas and the double glassing windows also help to reduce the noise. - the price was very affordable, I would have to paid 4 or 5 times more if I stayed in the hotels in the CBD. - close to amenities, bars, cafes, etc. - close to public transport and on the good (less traffic) days, the cbd only 15-20min away
Parking efficient; check-in very professional; the room was very comfortable and bigger than most hotels. The combination of the heritage and the way it has been modernised makes it a pleasure to come “home” to. My fathers office was in the building when it was a government location in the 1960’s. We have stayed there before and we will be back.
Staff were friendly and welcoming and the room we were given was very spacious, clean and modern. We took the breakfast package and definately worth it with the quality of the buffet breakfast provided being noticeably better than other hotels we have stayed in the Sydney CBD.
The view was amazing and the location was so easy, train from airport -to hotel was so easy. facilities and food were great and staff were very helpful. Can't fault the place and will be returning for all future Nth Sydney trips
My partner and I love staying at Rydges Airport Hotel in Sydney when we travel together and when I travel from the UK where we live he knows I am going to be looked after and comfortable when I stay at Rydges.. love it
Sydney Central Business District, Sydney
Loved this property! Great location, clean, great value for money, beautiful room, great staff and amazing view. Have tried a few CBD hotels in Sydney, but this property is my favourite.
Great location, close to station and my work. Very comfy bed and pillows. Overall, one of the better hotels I've stayed at in Sydney. Good internet.
The hotel is short distance from the airport, which was my primary consideration. It was easy to get downtown via Sydney's transit system.
The location of the hotel was close to everything I had planned for the weekend. Also, close to the airport and Sydney CBD.
Location close to airport. Shuttle on time. Room bigger than most hotels. Perfect for an overnight stay.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and were upgraded at no extra cost. Above and beyond. Will definitely return next year x
Very different. Quirky. A surprise. Not the mundane.
very nice floor and size of space
