Wake up to breathtaking views of the iconic Sydney Opera House, the Harbor Bridge or Darling Harbor each morning. The location was amazing; we stayed in the Sydney Harbour room for three nights and could not get enough of the view. The staff was very accommodating; we originally booked a different room for our last night but the staff let us stay in the same room. While the room seems a bit dated, it was spacious and very clean. We also went for the high tea where the food was delicious.

Rooms were clean, however, i didnt expect that the room is smaller than i thought. Pictures are misleading =)... but it's ok.The 3 of us fits ourselves in anyway.Bedsheets are neat and comfy, location is great it's just in the heart if the city. Very convenient to walk around. It's a good choice.. Thumbs up Sydney hotel CBD.
Sydney is an amazing city! There is SO much to see and to do. I stayed very close to the CBD in the Chinatown area where there were a ton of shops, restaurants, cafes and green spaces. This is the place to be! I spent a whole week wandering around the city from end to the other and explored as much as I could: I walked a lot. My hotel was across from Hyde Park and in under one hour, you can walk to hundreds of places and things to see and do: all the way to Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, George Street, Pitt Street Outdoor Mall, The Strand etc. I love this city so much! I would move here if I could..what's not to like? The weather, the people, the shopping, the food and the different neighbourhoods with their own characteristics..just wonderful. The thing I notice most is how laid back Sydney siders generally are: not as concerned with being so 'politically correct' and 'corporate'. I met a wonderful women who owned a vintage shop in the New Town area and she was dressed like a mashup between a fairy meets a goth! She looked amazing! You would hardly ever see a shopkeeper in Canada dressed like that and I found it delightful because she felt comfortable enough to express herself through the clothes that she had picked. Sydney was a breath of fresh air to me.
Had a great weekend. Stayed at Olympic Park which is very accessible by train or ferry. Went to a show at Qudos Bank Arena, it's a great venue. Took the ferry to Circular Quay for lunch, the over to Luna Park. Had a great time. Next day, great shopping at Ikea and the DFO!
Sydney was fabulous- the tap on:off light rail is brilliant. The city itself is quite grubby street wise and cleaning could make it a truely stunning city. Beaches and all the cites around the harbour make it a stunning place to visit The zoo and a ferry a must do. Eating at the rocks and markets in china town are great as is the QVB
We were in Sydney for a concert at Olympic Park. We ordered an Uber and the driver said he had already been to Olympic park several times that day, however he tried to avoid the traffic and became held up several times and the trip was much slower than expected. We were charged an additional fee for the time it took. Not impressed by this.
Sydney is one of the world's most beautiful and dynamic cities. Transportation is excellent with their ferry and transport systems ( trains, trams, buses ); the Opal card makes it so easy to get around ! Food is expensive in the hotspots so search the back streets. Ride to Manly for the day on the old ferry, then walk the great beach there. Many tours exist to be used : pub tours, informative walks, bicycle tours etc Botanical gardens are an amazing city oasis beside the Opera House Watch the cruise ships dock at Circular Quay
Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney
Easy location to reach, very clean, kitchenette has everything you need, staff are very helpful. Short walk to multiple coffee shops and cafes and there is a convenience store next door. Olympic Park area is great if you want to exercise, or go to the swimming pool. Room is quiet, although nearby construction noise on one side of the building does intrude if you open the balcony door. Balcony is small but pleasant with 2 chairs and a glass table. Room airconditioner worked well, and was not too aggressive like some other hotels.
Hotel is a nice combination of old and new decor, classy. Staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to help. In a good central location within CBD, lots of activities close by and quality restaurants in vicinity. Breakfast until 11am which I liked as I'm not a "morning" person (some hotels I've stayed in previously stopped breakfast at 9:30am forcing an early rise and rushed shower etc to make it in time to eat). I'm a wheelchair user, "easy access" room was spacious and well designed.
Rydges is just too convenient when you’re going into or out of the international terminal at Sydney Airport. from the arrivals hall, keep heading right until you get to the end of the terminal. cross the street and you’re at Rydges. New, clean, quiet, comfortable. And BTW, if you think it would closer or easier to stay at the hotel in the airport if you’re transmitting like I was, it’s not, you still have to go through Customs and spend just as much time and effort to get there.
Cute boutique hotel with a stunning rooftop bar, lounge and workspace. This was one of the only hotels that acknowledged our honeymoon with a little note and complimentary sparkling wine upon arrival. This was a lovely touch and surprise, especially on our first night of the trip! They kindly accommodated early check in which was greatly appreciated :) Good location in the CBD!
Very clean and comfortable ... size ideal for solo traveller once I worked out where to put the suitcase ... under the raised bed ... even had a balcony ... location great ... Darling Harbour ... Pyrmont ... walking distance to CBD and the light rail even with a suitcase and then transport for the airport.
Location was excellent , right in middle of Sydney olympic park precinct, parking set up and directions a little confusing, because there are essentially 3 hotels in the same vicinity, i found i was using the wrong lift on several occasions, needs better directions, especially from staff and signage,
Nice view from reception area. Nice staff! Hotel is at walking distance from domestic terminal. Good room and good bed. ⁹We were allocated room earlier by Shashank! Price for 1 night was reasonable compared to hotels in CBD. Thank you!
COMFORTABLE AND SPACIOUS ROOM. THE HOTEL IS VERY WELL LOCATED IN THE CENTRE OF THE CBD, HANDY TO THE ROCKS AREA, DARLING HARBOUR AND SHOPPING. ALSO WALKING DISTANCE TO MANY PLACES OF INTEREST, GALLERY, MUSEUM, ETC
This is my 'go-to' place in Sydney now as the location is excellent and it is value for money relative to other hotels this close to central CBD. It is comfortable and staff are always helpful (24hrs).
Sydney Central Business District, Sydney
Most reviewers here like the fact this place is close to Central. While it is true, it is also true that nearly all Sydney hotels are located within CBD and fringe suburbs, so it is hardly a selling point.
The hotel is well situated for the CBD, the Rocks and Darling Harbour. Easy access on foot or to nearby public transport links. Staff were very attentive and responded quickly to queries and complaints.
The hotel is close to the airport. It was convenient and cheaper than the other airport hotels. The front desk person was very kind and helpful.
The room was bigger than expected. The location was quite nice - close to the airport and walking distance from CBD, and main landmarks.
