Its ok. I only flew from Melbourne to Sydney for the Alphonse Mucha art exhibition.. which was excellent. The weather was excellent and the city is very walkable but also has a convenient and on-time public transport hub. Easy train ride from the airport.. about 15 mins to Central Station. There are numerous galleries that are free to walk into, only paying for special exhibitions. The first view of Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House are always breathtaking an something no-one should miss out on. The night life is fun and the numerous restaurants/cafes offer heaps of cultural variety. I stayed near Central Station and while the majority of cuisine was Thai, I did manage to find some great Chinese places for dinner while the Thai places actually did amazing Aussie style breakfasts like scrambled eggs with zucchini fritters.

This was my first visit to Sydney, and it was an incredible experience that makes me eager to return again and again. The city is wonderfully walkable—you can explore for hours and still feel excited. There are numerous large supermarkets that stay open until midnight, which adds to the convenience. The city is clean, the people are friendly, and the public transportation system is efficient and easy to navigate.

It was easy to walk to different attraction.
It was easy to walk to different attraction. There is excellent public transport, trains and ferry's. We found the people to be friendly and we felt safe walking around the CBD. The Hop on Hop off bus would be the best we have been , the drivers were great and the ride comfortable. The Zoo is exceptional, especially with the city in the background across the harbour.
I've always like the location of this hotel. I used to stay here when it was branded as another hotel chain - it very close to everything, and the food options plus a supermarket close by are an attraction for me. The rooms are a little dated and basic but clean and the beds comfortable, which is a little more than I expected for the price. Good value for money in comparison to other CBD hotels and the Reception staff were helpful and friendly.
We were here for the Riverdance concert and thought we'd stay at a hotel on this side of the city to be closer to the venue. This worked out well - it was very easy to access Darling Harbour from here (despite the redevelopment), and also to access the main CBD from across the bridge. We were very close to some nice restaurants and the casino. The room itself was good, comfortable bed and good facilities. Very nice bathroom.
Easy to get to from both the airport terminals as well as the CBD. Very convenient for short business trips, and equally great for longer stays with the in-room kitchen and laundry facilities. This is far better value than central CBD area hotels if you're willing to make a 15 minute commute. Very large and comfortable rooms. Great restaurants and large supermarket in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
location of course was great - can't beat Darling Harbour area
room was great, better than expected, bit quirky and interesting.
breakfast was comparable to most 5 star hotels - nothing special.
