    I loved staying in Haymarket.

I loved staying in Haymarket. The area was bustling at all hours and still felt safe to wander around at night. There are so many food choices and the local markets on Friday nights were great to explore. The Capitol Theatre is lovely, and we flew down for Jesus Christ Superstar which was fantastic! It was easy to hop a tram and explore the city.

Sydney city is a complete buzz from the first signs of sum hitting the Opera House peaks to the late evening where street music, people milling drinking and eating drift across everything. The council have made everything so accessible through light rail, bus, train network that actually works in outstanding people moving and activating all areas of the CBD. Sydney is super swish and uber relaxed at the same time and the constant signs of early colonial imprint are everywhere. They need to brush up on Aboriginal presence and history in the city though - it is kind of token at the moment and would enrich the heritage of the city immensely.

Location and staff friendliness - it is really central and has great facilities. It is adjacent to Mr Wongs restaurant so getting a reservation there is all done via the front desk. I left my suit there and in all the 1000's of hotels I have stayed at in my working career - these guys contacted me and mailed me my suit..sounds natural - but in hospitality it is rare. Thank you.

Location and decor of hotel were spectacular situated in the heart of Sydney CBD shops. Staff were also lovely. Bathroom was awesome. Breakfast dining area surroundings were so special being situated in a converted heritage post office building. Was very convenient to get to the theatre shows we were watching that day and night and close to public transport.

We stayed here because CBD pricing was exuberant due to a city marathon the following morning so it was a bit of a mission returning to Olympic Park after a night in the city however this is no fault of the hotel but something to keep in mind for others. What a great stay. The staff are generous, kind and really professional. We loved the cleanliness, the great breakfast. We've previously stayed in other 'corporate' hotels in the CBD, that were significantly dearer, and this hotel, although further from Central Sydney, was a lot better.
