This was my first visit to Sydney, and it was an incredible experience that makes me eager to return again and again. The city is wonderfully walkable—you can explore for hours and still feel excited. There are numerous large supermarkets that stay open until midnight, which adds to the convenience. The city is clean, the people are friendly, and the public transportation system is efficient and easy to navigate.

It was easy to walk to different attraction. There is excellent public transport, trains and ferry's. We found the people to be friendly and we felt safe walking around the CBD. The Hop on Hop off bus would be the best we have been , the drivers were great and the ride comfortable. The Zoo is exceptional, especially with the city in the background across the harbour.

Having been posted to Sydney previously, I could not wait to get out of it. Having said that, there is a great amount of fascinating areas that should be explored if you are a first-time visitor. Talk with people who have been there to see what would be to your liking, bearing in mind that different folks have different strokes :P

It’s misleading to call it an airport hotel. It’s basic accommodation that isn’t straight forward to get to without a taxi (which cost around 40aud), and if you have lots of luggage it’s worth noting that cars can’t pull up outside to drop off or pick up. Considering the added cost of getting there and back, I would pay more to stay somewhere more convenient or at the airport hotels. There is a train station to the city five/ten minutes away. The rooms were basic but clean and I had a comfortable sleep.
