Nice city. People are generally friendly & helpful. A lady staff at the town hall station was extremely helpful when we reached the station at night for direction to the castlereagh hotel on 30/11/17. Public servants in particular are primely important to make a difference for all tourist. Public servants are usually the first line of contact for any visitor to a new country. The gentleman who checked us in at the castlereagh hotel on the night of our arrival on 30/11/17 was extremely helpful and efficient in getting us into our room. He is a cheerful lot each day when we meet him at the front desk. Hotel is very clean and convenient. Hotel has a self service laundry facility at no extra charge, very useful. Room is a little small though, but, the service and efficiency of the staffs made it up to all. Kudos 💪🏼Castlereagh.. will return at the next opportunity. F&B, supermarket & shopping are all close by. However, the shops close very early, making it rather boring if one prefers to shop than drink or party! Luckily, the supermarket WOOLWORTHS closes at 10pm and that is a bonus for us. We love Woolloomooloo Darlinghurst, rushcutters bay, Pitts point and barangaroo.. each has its charm and flavour! Interesting architecture skyline too.
Best place to stay for the view of Sydney harbour is the North Sydney Harbour View, great public transport at your door, great walking/running tracks especially over the Harbour Bridge. Good comfortable accommodation in and around the city if you want to be right in the action with an average price of $150 AUD, you can pay more and I would if I was staying for more then a few days but if your there for the night life go cheaper as your only in the room to sleep. The down side is if you drive even though you pay good money for your accommodation you will also be hit with an average $25 per day for parking, I feel that should be included in the price. Down side is NSW still have the lock out laws so you need to find a good place you like before 0100h. Good idea if you want to be escorted around is to jump onto OZ Party buses and they will take you out for dinner, move you around on a Disco bus to experience up to 4 night clubs or pub depending on the party bus you jump on. During the day you can jump on the ferry to manly and walk to the Spit Bridge then bus it up to Military road and down to the zoo and make your way to the bottom of the zoo and catch the ferry back to the CBD, shower change and hit the many bars and Restaurants in and around the Rock or Opera house. If your after a great hassle free night out without the thugs hit the Newtown gay friendly area where everyone is there to party and meet new people. I found this area to be so friendly and safe to walk around. Great food as well!!!!
Rooms were clean, however, i didnt expect that the room is smaller than i thought. Pictures are misleading =)... but it's ok.The 3 of us fits ourselves in anyway.Bedsheets are neat and comfy, location is great it's just in the heart if the city. Very convenient to walk around. It's a good choice.. Thumbs up Sydney hotel CBD.
If this is your first visit to Sydney then book your stay in CBD, close to china town or Westfield. It's a beautiful city. We didn't need the car at all, we just walked around. You have many tourist attractions and things to do. If you're into the food scene you'll love all the choices around you. It's easy to get out of CBD as well using the ferry in circular quay or the train in QVB Town Hall station.
I often visit the Sydney CBD during long plane layovers. It's accessible by the train stations located under T1 & T2/3 which speed you to the CBD in 10- 15 mins, where you can either walk or use light rail to other locations. As a bonus, the trains can be paid for by a simple tap of the Opal terminal with your plastic cards (don't forget to tap off at your destination).
I needed a rest from the bicycle ride for the Cancer Council and got it. The pandemic has turned 6 months into over 2 years and l am completely Exhuasted. Truly, Brent Bu3 Ridegump on Facebook ( The Botanic Garden is a must ) Taco Bell, McDonald's and Domino's reminded me of home in the States. Thanks!
I truly enjoyed my stay at Meriton Suites Hotel on Kent Street. First and foremost, I chose this hotel because it offered a balcony....not many hotels offer this option. Secondly, it had a full size kitchen and a laundry room as well. The staff were friendly and courteous. Even though check in begins at 2pm, my room was ready when I checked in at 11:30am. I highly recommend this hotel; it's located in the CBD, it's close to restaurants, shopping, tourist attractions, and walking distance to the harbour.
Sydney
It was just fabulous. Location is ideal, just 2-3 minutes walk to railway station, ferry station just few minutes behind the hotel, various hotels, shops located quite nearby. Apartment was very clean with all necessary kitchen equipment, excellent for the family stay. Property is quiet away from the city traffic noise yet very conviniently located , near to all modes of transport. Very easy to travel to & from airport, major Sydney tourist spots.
Beautiful room, great layout, very spacious and lovely decor. Very comfortable stay. Excellent value for money considering surrounding hotels with similar pricing at almost half the size with limited facilities. Being able to order room service easily from the iPad from surrounding Merivale venues was fantastic. Welcoming staff and very quick and efficient checkout. One of the better hotels in Sydney CBD, will definitely be back.
This hotel was perfect for me-about 10-15 mins away from the Central Business district of Sydney. Room was spacious and clean and quiet. Bed was super confy! Neighborhood around the hotel was great-there are restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores that are walking distance from the hotel. There are bus routes half block from the hotel that will take you to CBD. Highly recommend this hotel!
Location. Easy to access from Airport by train + walk (10 minutes) or train + LiteRail at Central. A part of China town. Surrounded by Asian Food courts and restaurants. Walking distance to everywhere in CBD. Paddy's market is next door. Good guest Laundry (two washers and two dryers) in the Gym on 3rd floor. Staff are courteous and smiling.
Sydney Central Business District, Sydney
Location was perfect. Walking distance to Barangaroo businesses, shops and reserve, to Darling Harbour, CDB and access to public transport, buses, trains and ferries. Easy access to airport via Wynyard station. The hotel is safe, secure, clean and staff are friendly. All the amenities you need for either long/short stay.
Staff were friendly and welcoming and the room we were given was very spacious, clean and modern. We took the breakfast package and definately worth it with the quality of the buffet breakfast provided being noticeably better than other hotels we have stayed in the Sydney CBD.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming and able to answer any questions we had. Location of hotel was very good - very safe to walk and with easy access to CBD Sydney via public transit. Hotel one block from stop 29 on the Blue line of the Hop on Hop off bus tour.
Great value for money with large first class rooms. Excellent facilities near a number of restaurants. We had an overnight stay pending our early morning flight. I’ve stayed at a number of airport hotels and this one is excellent.
The location is very convenient to the train to/from Sydney airport. The staff were excellent and were exceptionally helpful when our cruise was cancelled, especially as I was unable to connect to the hotel's wifi.
Honestly I didn’t like anything compare to other hotels I stayed ibis was very basic at least be a wardrobe in the room , telephone in the room if need to contact front desk and writing desk but northing which is very poor .
Bed was comfortable, the room was very spacious and had a wonderful view of Sydney CBD and Parramatta river. I enjoyed this Meriton also Kent and Pitt street Hotels . Look forward to staying in the new Sussex Meriton.
Honestly everything was amazing. From the location of the hotel, to the view from our room, to the service of staff, Four Seasons Sydney may well be one of the best hotels my partner and I have ever stayed at.
close to the airport so you can easily walk from the domestic terminal to get there. considering it was one of the cheapest hotels in the area I cant complain too much. The staff seemed nice.
Location was better than some other CBD properties previously stayed at. Quite handy to transport and convenience stores and less noisy than other hotels. Most staff were lovely and helpful.
Sydney Central Business District, Sydney
Loved this property! Great location, clean, great value for money, beautiful room, great staff and amazing view. Have tried a few CBD hotels in Sydney, but this property is my favourite.
It was close to Sydney Olympic Park where our horse was competing at Sydney Royal Easter Show. Price was great value compared to other hotels around.
easy access to metro and airport. Much better value than the CBD and only a couple of metro stations away. Good eatries and supermarket near by.
This hotel is a 15 min walk away from the Sydney Airport.
Great service, clean, excellent staff
