We loved Sydney. This was our first time. There is something for everyone. Public transport is easy and cheap to use. Eating out is a little pricey but get away from the harbour and its cheaper.
Totally recommend walking the harbour bridge, its free and you get awesome views going over. We did the Coogee to Bondi coastal walk and it was amazing. We did a day trip out to the Blue Mountains which was incredible. We just loved every moment of it.
We went to the Opera House to see Sunset Boulevard which was beyond awesome

Sydney is a must for any visitor to Australia, but allow yourself plenty of time as there is so much to see and everything takes to to get to due to the size of the city. The harbour ferries are amazing and afford the opportunity to visit many of the must see places. Manly in particular is a delightful place

I absolutely loved Sydney!
I absolutely loved Sydney!
After my roadtrip along the coast from cairns to Sydney I fancied meat after all the fish I ate and went to Una’s in Victoria St/Darlinghurst and ordered a schnitzel and hot my fix! It is massive and scrumptious with a great choice of sauces.
Had a lovely breakfast at the lookout cafe Elizabeth Bay with view over the marina.
The Chinese Friendship Garden in Chinatown is stunning, a peaceful escape of the hustle and bustle
Of the city.

The Opal card was a winner, we used it for the tram (light rail), and the ferries, made getting around easy, just tap to hop on and off. We used the ferry to go to Manly and to Parramatta. Manly is a nice spot with shopping and there we markets on the day we went. Not so impressed with Parramatta, but the journey on the river was lovely.

Location was fantastic. Middle of Sydney CBD and an easy walk to Darling Harbour and Opera House. For the price you can't realy go wrong. The room is spacious enough and beds were comfy. Its a shame we didn't get to try the hotel breakfast or the bar as we had little time during our stay.
I would stay here again when back in Sydney. The hotel manager was kind enough to give us a room at 10am that was available as we had a very early flight. 10/10 stay for this price point and location
This hotel is extremely well-located - close to the new light rail system and the train system (for the airport), shops, restaurants, the Royal Botanical Garden, the excellent art gallery, etc. - and just two light rail stops to Circular Quay (for the Opera House and the Rocks). It's a heritage hotel, and has so much more character than most modern hotels. We were also pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was, given its CBD location. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great central CBD location with a real boutique and cozy feel to the hotel. The decor feels grand throughout and the the room was spacious, bright, clean and a super comfy bed. Our room had a separate WC and shower which is great for couples. Staff were friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was delicious. Well worth the money compared to a lot of other hotels in the city.
Business class rooms have nice views to the runway. All rooms have a mini-fridge to keep drinks cool. The front desk staff are so helpful, nice, and welcoming. All SYD-airport hotels are terrible; nevertheless, this still is perhaps one of the better ones with comfy beds.
