Sydney is a great place to visit. There are a lot of attractions just in the CBD (central business district) alone. It is a 'walkable' city with a lot of footpaths and extensive public transport options. The views especially along the coast/quay are splendid. There are also a lot of eateries scattered around town, some more famous and easier to get to than others. Also a lot of places for shopping. There are a lot of other attractions outside of CBD, of course. Most of these are accessible via public transport, which is very reliable. But because Sydney is big, some journey may take a long time, and will need prior planning.
Sydney is a beautiful place to visit. There is so much to do and explore. Excellent shopping, great restaurants, easy to get around, the waterways are spectacular, and there are different things happening all the time. Will definitely return.
Such a scenic city, with a little bit of everything that you could want in a holiday! The Harbour is stunning and all the cultural and world listed areas are within a short walk of each other. Public transport is really good, and if you feel like stretching your legs, you can walk to most places you want to visit (just be mindful that Sydney is surprisingly hilly!) So many shows (musicals, operas, comedy, music) to see, and take in! SO many beautiful tourist attractions to see as well make Sydney a wonderful place to visit. The city manages to seamlessly blend its old and character areas with modern infrastructure beautifully!
Sydney is a vibrant beautiful city. It has something to offer every age group and if you up for it you can find something fun and exciting to do 24/7. Great restaurants, cafes, late night drinking venues if needed. Beautiful sights to see. Sydney harbour bridge, the Opera House, Taronga park zoo, The Botanical Gardens, the blue mountains, the Hunter Valley just to name a few. The ferry service from Circular Quay to Manly was fabulous. Which is a great opportunity to see the Harbour Bridge and Opera House from the water. The train service is also a great way to see Sydney. It is fast and efficient! With the ease of just tapping in and out with your bank card.
Location close to everything. Walk to a lot of places or to transport e.g. light rail, Central Railway Station. Sydney great places to eat of a foodie, entertainment/shows, theatre and sport all there!
I have been to Sydney on 2 previous occasions but this was the best visit. The accommodation was perfect and the weather was great and locals seemed more friendly than on previous visits. Public transport great and we used trains, ferries and light rail. Taking the train to circular quay gives you a short walk to the accommodation. Recommend getting an opal card for more convenient use of public transport and a cheaper rate. For seniors the travel cap for the day $2.50 and $15 to or from the airport. For adult travellers public transport opal card travel capped under $15 and $20 for a trip to or from the airport. Relaxing to use the public transport ferries around Sydney harbour as well as tourist ferries easy to access from Circular Quay or Darling Harbour. Plenty of options for an action packed visit to Sydney or a more leisurely visit to Sydney. A good location for singles, families or the elderly to visit. Plenty of dining options and supermarkets and shopping close by to accommodation or a short trip on light rail. Some parts of Sydney can be hilly but manageable for my elderly parents with a walking stick, plenty of lifts and public transport great.
I loved my stay at the Little National. I had stayed in similar ‘little’ hotels in London so was pleasantly surprised at how large the room was and the super king-sized bed was incredible! Loved the smart features for lights and blinds. I order Uber Eats a number of times and food was brought up to my room with a cutlery pack straight away. I arrived at 10.30am and was fortunate a room was ready. Location was perfect as it’s right above Wynyard Station, very convenient to get to and from the airport.
Sydney Central Business District, Sydney
Nicely run big hostel right across the street from Central Station. Only 15 min by train to the airport and can walk to Sydney Harbour and other attractions. We had a private room with bunk beds, which was nice and clean. There are shared bathrooms on the floor. Large kitchen and dining area on another level. Lots of events organized by the hostel (ie free pizza, beach tour).
Location right near domestic airport is reason we use it. Have done so several times & will do so again. It has a fast & reliable airport SHUTTLE, the reason why I selected this hotel originally. Having a good shuttle is my number one NEED, especially in these times of RAIL STRIKES & Taxis getting harder to locate at Central & UBERS even harder to contact .
A great little spot in Sydney cbd. The staff go above and beyond for the guest which is rare in hotels these days. The facilities are modern, the mini bar is well stocked, the rooms are cleaned well and regularly. The room service is very tasty. Hotel bar is hip. I will be coming back in my monthly trips to Sydney
What a great stay. The staff are generous, kind and really professional. We loved the cleanliness, the great breakfast. We've previously stayed in other 'corporate' hotels in the CBD, that were significantly dearer, and this hotel, although further from Central Sydney, was a lot better.
Honestly one of the nicest Sydney hotels I’ve stayed in! The room was very spacious, and incredibly clean. It was also handy having a fully equipped kitchen. The location is fantastic - really close to the airport and there are nearby eateries and a grocery store.
Sydney
I got a good vibe as soon as I walked up to check in. I quickly received my room key and told of all the amenities of the hotel. Location in a good neighbourhood close to Green Square Station with short commutes to both the airport and CBD.
Big shout out to Edel and the other staff at Rydges Sydney Airport. Very helpful. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we were offered a larger room. Great customer service. Rooms are quiet even though the hotel was quite busy.
The staff are so super friendly, very kind and accommodating! They kept our baggage both before checking in and after checking out. If you like quaint looking hotels with convenience of being close to the CBD, I’d recommend staying!
Kirribilli, Sydney
Excellent location! Comfortable beds and nice to have a few kitchen amenities. Loved staying here more than we ever did in Sydney CBD. The harbour view was stunning from this side. Ferries are easy to hop on/hop off. Loved it!
Novotel Sydney Airport Hotel is very close and handy to the Airport, Wolli Train Station and Woolworth Supermarket. The Hotel Breakfast is adequate and the restaurant is well catered for. The Housekeeping lets this Hotel down.
The 24-hour coffee in the lounge is great, and the location is extremely convenient, with plenty of bus connections and a train station (to the airport and CBD) one minute's walk away. The in-room microwave is also great
We use the Ibis Darling Harbour because it is close to the Sydney Light Rail system, within walking distance of Darling Harbour and within walking distance of the Sydney CBD. It's a great hotel offering value for money.
Sydney Central Business District, Sydney
The best thing about this accommodation is its location - about 200 metres from Town Hall. Wifi is pretty good, pods are okay, value for money is very good given how insanely overpriced hotels in the CBD area are.
It’s my choice of hotels to stay if I’m coming into Sydney CBD , I love its proximity to my Fav Thai restaurant . It’s one of the best value rates and always includes breakfast , parking is cheap at $40 too
Sydney Central Business District, Sydney
Most reviewers here like the fact this place is close to Central. While it is true, it is also true that nearly all Sydney hotels are located within CBD and fringe suburbs, so it is hardly a selling point.
The Grace is splendid. I’ve stayed at many hotels in the CBD & the Grace is the winner. I travel to the city around 8 times a year & The Grace is where I now choose to stay - EVERY TIME!
Close to CBD and well priced compared to other hotels in the area. Overnight parking fee is reasonable. Comfy bed and room was perfect size.
North Sydney, Sydney
best value for money. at less than half the price of city hotels, and only 2 train stops to the cbd.
