Great hotel right on the lake! We stayed as a stop on the TMB and this was a wonderful place to rest and reset after lots of hiking. We literally walked across the street to jump in the lake. Both of our rooms had massive balconies that looked out at the water. The shower/sink in our bathroom had some issues, but the staff was friendly when things came up. Overall a very charming hotel with lovely people running it! Champex Lac is adorable!

Breakfast was excellent, standard Swiss staples like eggs, fresh bread, jam, and cheeses. The staff was super friendly and helpful and we enjoyed chatting with them. Rooms were cozy and comfortable, bathroom is excellent. There’s a sauna downstairs that was a welcome treat after a day on the slopes. Highly recommend this hotel! Merci!

We knew the place and various activities are offered: biking, walking, fishing, paddling, swimming, ... . There is a lovely alpine garden and we can visit an underground military fortification. Hiking to well-know refuges is possible (Orny, Trient). Don't miss Zaric's sculpture. There is a small one in the alpine garden. Panorama from Belvedere (easy walk) or Splendid hotel is beautiful. Apparently, there is a SPA in the new trendy / design hotel next to the lake. I believe non-resident can hire by hour (to be checked). Champex is not far to Gorges Durnand.

Champex Lac is a charming village that offers a wide range of outdoor activities, like skiing, hiking, kayaking on the lake, swimming, tennis. It is very suitable for family holidays in winter and summer. The environment is very beautiful. Impressives mountains, woods and small villages. Champex is not far from France and Italy, so day-trips to the French Alps and Aosta in Italy are a possible.

The apartment in the hotel was a little on the small size, so seemed expensive. But it is in a stunning position close to the lake, with wonderful walks nearby. The host was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. And it is dog friendly.

Wonderful apartment at Au Vieux Champex with views of the lake. Very clean and nicely appointed. Nice little town with a great bakery and good restaurants. We ate at Restaurant du Glacier which was excellent.
We had a sleek modern two bedroom apartment with two baths, well equipped kitchen, open plan living and dining room, front yard and outdoor dining area overlooking lake Champex. We wish we had planned a longer stay in such a beautiful setting and spacious apartment.
There is a very good grocery store right across the street. It was wonderful to eat a home cooked meal after several days eating out during our week long hiking vacation.
Lovely family run hotel, in the perfect location the explore Champex-Lac! We got train/bus from Geneva Airport (which was very easy!) to spend the weekend skiing. The breakfast spread was great, everything you could want. The Richer-Lonfat Familywere extremely helpful, both before our trip via email and once we arrived! Well worth the room with a view too! Would definitely recommend.
Very friendly reception, good advice on where to go and what to do. I liked the beautiful old hotel as a whole. It has been kept nicely. I ate in all evenings, I thought food was of was great value. I never forget the local trout fried in butter and parsley! I liked the view, the balcony towards the valley etc. Will certainly be back and tell friends about it!
It was a pleasant experience but compared to other locations this property gets a rating of 8.5. There is a beautiful fireplace in the house but I didn't have any wood. The grill looks pretty bad. For 4 days 5 people left us only 2 dishwashing pills. Comfortable mattress but very noisy beds
The Hotel Splendide was wonderful in every way: friendly staff, clean, comfortable bed, hot shower, spacious room with tall windows, and a beautiful dining room with excellent food (both dinner and breakfast). We would absolutely stay again. Highly recommended and a treat if you are in the TMB.
Don’t often review but Hotel Belvedere was one of my favourite stays ever. Was on the Tour de Mont Blanc. Old world and owners are lovely. Still remember the breakfast and the special view. Bonus is that it is built on top of a Swiss Fortress built into the mountain! (You cam even tour it!)
This was a truly lovely experience. We have been to Champex a few times before and stayed elsewhere, but this really surpassed our expectations. Such lovely service - adaptable and friendly. We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant. Could not recommend it highly enough.
Nice location in the village of Champex-Lac (not with lake-view, but the lake is very near by). Free parking, free WiFi. Nice breakfast buffet and nice restaurant for dinner as well. Fair prices. Cosy rooms, particularly the corner rooms (they seem to a little bigger).
This was a great stop while running the TMB route. The flat is well appointed and quiet, and it was great to have somewhere to park the car too. Very comfortable, just spacious enough for three (our friend slept on the sofa bed), and a perfect location in Champex-Lac.
First of all the owners are a lovely couple and as kind as it gets. The location is exceptional. Sitting on the terrace, whether it’s upstairs from your room, or downstairs from the bar, and watching a tranquil day that is life in Champex go by is unforgettable.
During the 10 days of TMB, we stayed one night at a one bedroom condo and a 2bedroom/2bath condo. 2/2 condo had a nice view of the Lac Champex and was very clean and modern. I would love to come back and stay more days❤️
