We stayed here for 5 days four nights. It was a great location. We could walk for ice cream or dinner everyday and every night. I went to the beach often and found seaglass and really pretty stones. We had a couple massages that were great. We enjoyed the upstairs patio where we could lay out and read our books. The bartenders are very friendly and enjoyed having a drink every night.

This beautiful little hotel is located steps from the beach and a very short walk to all kinds of restaurants, bakeries, and transportation. Staff are wonderful, helpful, and passionate about their region. The breakfast features baked goods from a local (and phenomenal) bakery, along with other locally-sourced products. All in all, highly recommend.

We loved the couple who own and run the hotel and the bar! They are extremely helpful and pleasant! They work hard and they work hard to please their customers! They go above and beyond. We ended up not actually staying, which is why I can't comment on the room or the comfort, but the proprietors definitely and whole-heartedly go above and beyond in service and hospitality. They tried everything they could to help us in our mistakes and fumbles! And we made a few!

The location was a nice surprise, close to restaurants and beach. The staff were so nice and helpful. The room was very clean and had a nice view. I was pleasantly surprised as a mom traveling with 2 teenagers it was a nice area and I would stay here again. I felt safe and there were great amenities close by. The hotel is close to the ferry (5 min straight walk) and the food in the hotel was lovely, I recommend their omelette and moules frites!

    Hotel was adequate, but basic. Had aircon though. 2.5/5 Handy for just off the ferry, but don't expect fancy. Also, if you use booking.com, read the emails carefully, it's a complicated registration system if the staff aren't around. Just get your booking reference ready from the email, and also be prepared to pay 0.90 per visitor wit the card you booked.

    We like Ouistreham very much.

    We like Ouistreham very much. The old town and church are well worth visiting and the beautiful memorials on the beach are very moving. We are not young (!) but enjoyed the sea air and were able to park our car easily for a gentle walk through the trees to the beach. Lovely. I enjoyed watching the the river traffic from our hotel windows. It was a very memorable part of our long stay in France.

    Ferry port there giving access to all areas of Normandy (especially D Day landing beaches and museums). Some lovely bars cafes and restaurants. Beach was clean and lots to do including a big wheel - great for viewing the coast line etc.

    Nice town but really just for a stopover for the ferry which is why I stay there several times a year. Restaurants around the port can be problematic as they are mostly aimed at British tourists providing moules et frites for the adults and burgers for the youngsters and most doing pizzas as well. Difficult to get decent French cuisine there. If you go a bit further into the town proper there is a wider range with some French cuisine but also more pizzas. There are nice beaches around bug I have never used them. There is also the historical element relating to D day beaches which is well worth a look.

    The town is pretty, right on the beach, and a great location to explore Caen (by bus), the 3 northern D-Day beaches (Sword, Juno 🇨🇦, & Gold). Biking trails take you all over the area, including a short trip along the Orne river to Pegasus Bridge.

    We visited as a starting point for pursuing our interest in...

    We visited as a starting point for pursuing our interest in the Second World War Normandy D Day events. Ouistreham is ideal for this. We were able to get by bus to the new British D Day memorial (although it would have been better if a more frequent service), could reach Caen easily, and other key areas by public transport, although we didn't do this on this short trip.

    Located within close walking distance from ferry port. Room had good view & overlooked the church. Staff were friendly. The big attraction to this hotel for us was the restaurant serving exceptionally good food at a very good price!! We both had set menu for 29 Euros each, we ordered seafood platter, steak, duck & trio of puddings with coffee for dinner & moules frites for lunch.

    Very comfortable hotel and close to ferry terminal. Good choice for those coming from or returning to the UK via Caen car ferry. Easy 15 minute drive to Caen town centre with great choice of restaurants. Great location if you want to visit Normandy landings sights.
