The location of this hotel is superb, being in the centre of the village, by the main bridge. We enjoyed being in the thick of things. Our room was of a very good size, after being in smaller rooms in two other destinations. There was a kettle and tea making facilities.
The blonde Waitress on dinner service when we were there was wonderful. She was very kind, professional, and efficient: she is a credit to your business.

Lovely location, peaceful, easy to find. Great breakfast, freshly cooked with gluten free options. Very helpful staff, including Lauren who went above and beyond to send a photo of the speed bumps along the drive so we could check our car would clear them! Thank you

As we visited in December, it was quiet allowing us to meander and enjoy the area without the crowds.
The people we met were all pleasant and friendly and made our visit enjoyable.
I can only imagine, what it must be like for traffic etc in peak season, which I personally would avoid due to the limited access and parking.
Places we ate were The Wellington, the Cobweb and the Riverside.
Of the three we enjoyed the Riverside for quality and value mostly, but we would recommend all for various reasons.
We joined in with the community when they lit the lobsterpot Christmas tree, along with local school children singing and Boscastle Morris team dancing and then back into the pub to warm up.

I stayed for 2 days.
I stayed for 2 days. You could stay 1 day longer, but that would be about it. In theory, you could be able to cover most of the main sites around the town within a day or a day and a half.
The witchcraft museum is definitely worth a visit. I was really surprised and learnt a lot. An odd place for such a museum, but then again, it's as good a place as any.
Make sure you book one of the restaurants. Especially on a Friday or Saturday night, almost no place, including The Riverside where I was staying was accepting walk-ins.

A good location for exploring that part of Cornwall. A good selection of hotels and restaurants, we tried all of them during our stay and they were all friendly and welcoming. The car park is close to all the facilities and is charged until 1600 Monday to Sunday.

Pretty place to visit, very interesting.
Pretty place to visit, very interesting. Lovely walks to be had too.
Take a purse full of 20pence pieces as a lot of the harbours residents have had to take on the the upkeep of the toilet facilities, therefore unfortunately having to charge for usage.
Lovely restaurants but ideally need to pre-book as they get very busy! We didn’t go during school holidays and was still booked up. Some really cute shops to buy gifts.

A beautiful seaside town with quaint stores, parking nearby, a gorgeous harbour, fantastic walks nearby. Very close to Tintagel which has a glorious castle in ruins, lovely old church, cliff top walks… a great place to visit.
Lovely old hotel in the wonderful location of Boscastle harbour. Staff excellent - always tried to be accommodating. As dog-friendly as any hotel I have ever been to. A great base for coastal walks - immediate access to paths within seconds of leaving the hotel. Thank you Wellington Hotel for a most welcome and enjoyable post-lockdown break. Will be better still when Covid-controls eased and the bar can return to its original form of a lively and atmospheric music pub - will have to wait a bit longer for that though.
Our stay was lovely, Roz the owner went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, always with a smile. This place has everything you expect after spending your day out, comfy bed and a lovely warm shower with a cozy feeling. Worth mentioning, the breakfast 5* hotel service with food made to order, homemade bread and jams and tasty local-sourced food. I'd highly recommend this place and will come back in the future.
A very rural location for anyone coming from a city environment.
The roads get narrow for the larger cars.
Short drive to the main areas like Boscastle and Port Isaac.
Washing machine and dishwasher really handy.
Even has ' his and hers ' electric blankets for the cold nights, which is very old-school cosy.
Overall it's a fab place to rent and stay.
Perfect when you want to get away from the city rush.
This is a restaurant with rooms. The food was excellent but of course the rooms were not the main focus. No lounge area but lovely garden with tables over a small bridge to the hotel. Very friendly and pleasant staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Public parking only 50 metres away. Excellent location by the little river that goes through Boscastle to the sea. All prices were good value
Everything was perfect, the rooms are amazing, breakfast was outstanding the owners couldn't do enough for us very knowledgeable. Boscastle is beautiful and staying in such a beautiful hotel made it even more spectacular, definitely returning.
The rooms had so much from a fridge to bathrooms and slippers. The toiletries were divine and the chocolate treats well again amazing.
The cottage had everything we needed. It was cozy, clean, and exactly as described. The very nice touches made it all the more special — scones and clotted cream, milk in the fridge, and a note explaining everything. I also liked the website and blog offering tons of suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the area. Would stay there again!
Lovely flat in Boscastle which was well equipped and comfortable.
We stayed in a cold snap in December and the flat was heated for our arrival and was very warm and cozy to return to after a walk on the coast path. Easy walk to the village centre and a great pub recommendation from the host.
The location in the village was prefect for us, away for the main harbour, but close the to a local shop and a 10 minute, if steep, walk down to the harbour. Cosy feel to the cottage and very comfortable bed. Great to have the welcome pack on arrival of local goods and a coffee machine.
Breakfast was very good with a good comfortable dining area.
Evening meal was very good
Good space and very clean room
Staff were excellent
Parking, if you time your visit right free parking is possible. however, if your there for a day 24 hour parking is only £5.70
Good location for my work at a local business. The decor of the Sloe cottage was excellent and I likes the hanging tapestries and ornaments. The views from the property are great, and I liked the small garden seating area available for residents which had good views.
Apartment was perfect. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and setting area. Large bathroom with bath and shower.
Central yet quiet location just 5 minutes walk to the harbour. Own parking area. Pubs & Restuarants about 200m away,
Boscastle is a great location for coastal walks and the Wellington is in a perfect location to support these activities. The room was comfortable and the food was good. Our time in Boscastle was enhanced by our stay at the Wellington.
To start, the location, the cream tea on arrival, Mel and Adam there if needed, the view, the cleanliness of the stay, the peacefulness, the walk to the pub, the taxi back up the hill from Boscastle and the friendliness of the locals.
The place was beautiful and peaceful! Our studio was amazing and we felt really welcome and comfortable. The Lodge is less than 10 minutes drive from Boscastle, which is a gorgeous town! Totally recommend it!
Excellent hosts Liz & Anthony.
Very helpful and informative ,beautiful quiet location only 5 minutes from Boscastle.
Amazing breakfast.
Would highly recommend anybody to stay.
We will return
Excellent location, on site parking- essential in Boscastle.
Located in the heart of the town, easy access to town, harbour and walks. Comfortable, clean, everything you need.
Great location. Good view from our family room. Shared bathroom/toilet was clean and spotless. Good kitchen and dining area. Friendly and helpful staff.
