Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown Good 7.8 Lovely breakfast and bar. Super comfortable bed.
Twelfth Lock Hotel Good 7.5 The first thing was the location, set by the side of a canal lock which contained a few residential boats of different varieties - Long, Dutch, House etc... surrounded by open parkland. After entering through a couple of designer doors, I was met by the friendly staff who promptly sorted the paperwork and directed me to the room. There was a bath and shower with instant piping hot water (unlike some hotels where the water takes ages to become even warm!) The room was neat, tidy, clean and pleasant. The place was quiet, bed comfortable and I slept very well that night. A casual morning with a 12noon check out and more encounters with friendly staff. I would highly recommend this charming hotel and shall definitely use it again when in Dublin!
Castleknock Hotel & Country Club Very good 8.4 The use of the buses to go into Dublin.

    • We wanted to take the children to Dublin Zoo. We went to the zoo first and the location was great so after a busy day we didn't have far to travel to the hotel. Theresa at reception was excellent really friendly and welcoming. Had a lovely stay would definitely do it again.

    • I had to check my email to make sure that this was the correct hotel! The location, facilities and room has to be the best I have used so far in my work travels. There is so much space everywhere that you don't feel as though you are having to share anything with other guests. I have been trying to find a hotel in the Dublin area to use constantly to stay the night prior to getting the ferry home, no more 4am starts from the west coast anymore, I will be using Castleknock all the time now.

    • Location! Beside the best shopping centre in Dublin. Bus to centre Dublin stops across the road, bar food excellent, 9 th floor lift to underground car park in 90 secs

    • WiFi should be provided free as is the case in most hotels when a paying guest. Location suited us as we were attending a function in the area but is very far from Dublin City Centre in a remote area. The reception staff on our arrival were very poor with an unacceptable understanding of English. We tried to ring reception from our room to book a hotel but the phone rang out 6 times so had to physically go to reception to ask. Other than that it is a very beautiful hotel & would return.

    • Very large comfortable bed, very tasty breakfasts, especially the sausages, plenty of areas to sit both in the hotel and out on the patio area. Ten minute walk to bus stop for bus direct to Dublin - about 20 minutes from Castleknock.
