The room was very convenient to the main areas of Cremona. The narrow street that the hotel is on is very lively at night, giving a great energy to the area, but not so much that it was too loud to sleep.
Surrounded by green fields in the Lombardy countryside, Carrobbio Bed&Breakfast is a traditional farmhouse, 10 minutes' drive from Cremona center. It offers a peaceful location and free WiFi.

Cremona is a fascinating destination, its history is revealed on every corner you walk about. The Cremona cathedral that dates back to the 12th century, the baptistry, and the bell tower are a must visit. You may not want to miss of course the Museo del Violino where you can trace back the history of violin making as it developed in Cremona. If you're hungry for great pizza, go to La Pendola and if for great seafood, Pesciolini Innamorati. In short, you'll want to comeback there many times.

Italy is full of interesting destinations that do not make it to the top of Tripadvisor or Lonely planet, but are still very interesting. Cremona is one of those places. The good news (for travellers) is that the tourist masses will stay away, most people come here because of its history of musical instruments. For me the Torrazzo (the 120m tower in the square) was the more impressive sight. I have been up many towers, this is truly one of the most spectacular ones, and it has a still functioning original astronomical clock, as well as very nice explanations within the tower. The Violin museum will attract most tourists, I think it could have used more traditional exhibits where you can read and learn instead of all the (annoying) multimedia exhibits that do not tell much. The recitals (not every day, check the schedule) are a must see though. It is quite interesting to see a 180-200 year old violin (Vesuvio Stradivarius in our case) taken form the exhibition brought to the hall and hear it played live in front of an audience. And then there is the food. There are excellent restaurants in the area, I can recommend the Ristorante Il Violino (upscale, quite pricey) for example.

It's a very atmospheric town.
It's a very atmospheric town. It was where Stradivari the violin maker lived and I was there for the Stradivari festival, but even during the rest of the year the museum of the violin has recitals on violins from their collection at noon.

An authentically Italian experience in this small city.
An authentically Italian experience in this small city. Prices were amazing, people were friendly and genuine. We loved the restaurants we tried and the numerous cafes. Of course, the violin makers are the highlight of the city and the museum amazing for its collection of Stradivarius and other world famous violins.

Cremona is a beautiful city with such great sightseeings.
Cremona is a beautiful city with such great sightseeings. The three things we loved the most about Cremona were the Main Cathedral and its Torrazzo Tower, Il Museo del Violino (The amazing Museum of Violins) and Hotel Astoria.
The property is beautiful and in the heart of Cremona. There is a parking lot conveniently located next to the property. It is a palazzo! My room was very roomy, had a painted ceiling and a large bathroom.
The breakfast was excellent, everything was fresh and beautifully set out. The staff could not have been nicer. They were very helpful and genuinely nice! I really enjoyed my stay!
The location is excellent and very near the historic center of Cremona. We stayed for three days and interacted with several members of the staff. They were uniformly courteous, knowledgeable, and glad to help us. We were also happy about the set up of the breakfast area, which has adequate spacing between the tables and a buffet that permits social distancing. Good cappuccino, too!
Plenty of space in this apartment. Breakfast was not provided but the grocery store Esselunga was just 100 m away and there was a complete kitchen so it was easy to eat what we wanted. The town center and main museums in Cremona were a 15 minute walk, and the railway station was a bit further, a 30 minute walk. An extensive music store is right next to the apartment.
Lovely flat, clean and with all you need for a short stay. There's a grocery shop 5 minutes away and the centre of Cremona is a 15/20 minutes' walk away. It is in a quiet residential area away from the main street. The owner was very kind offering us a lift from and to the station and giving us lots of information on the town and what to visit.
Great location in Cremona, walking distance to all areas of interest (including the historic area, the commercial high street and the train station), and the building is so quietly elegant that you feel blessed to be there. The products in the breakfast are really tasty... Great experience and I would certainly return.
There were no taxis available when we arrived late at Cremona station, so Rita our host's representative came to meet us and carried a heavy bag to the apartment on her bicycle. What a great welcome! The apartment was as described, comfortable, private and quiet. The air conditioning worked well during the heatwave.
Hotel is in the city center. There is no parking but one can use a parking close by at a discount of €4/day from the hotel. There is no bar or restaurant in the hotel. The bar opposit the hotel is although very good. Rooms are okay and there are plenty of good restaurants around.
If you are traveling to Cremona, this is a great place to stay. Location is perfect near the main square and the accommodations were all Italian marble floors and bathroom. Beds extremely comfortable. Our favorite place to sleep during our travels to Italy.
Location was great , 2 steps to the centro storico, Duomo area.
Receptionists were friendly.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast lady was super sweet and cheerful, she served coffee in a happy mood, Brava. Hard to see happy staff these days ;-)
Very cozy apartment in the centre of Cremona. Mabel was very helpful, kind and provided parking guidance as soon as we requested it. The apartment also had ice cubs in the fridge, which helped us survive the very hot days we had in Cremona.
The apartment was big, very clean and Mr Luigi was extra kind and helpful!! Inside of an old vila with a great yard. The location is about 10 minutes by foot from Cremonas center. We had a great time !! Definitely worth the visit !!
Everything was very good, nice room, air-condition worked very well for heating (important in November in Italy). You can park your car not far from hostel for free although hostel is very close to center.
The location is perfect for exploring the city. There is a public, non-free parking within 500 mt from the hotel which comes in handy. The price is good, especially if you manage to include the breakfast.
The location is incredible, directly in the centre of Cremona. The apartment is comfortable and very easy to find my way.
Definitely, I will be visiting again soon.
