Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon Very good 8.4 In short, everything was superb. A very attentive, obliging and happy staff throughout our stay. We had an excellent bedroom onlooking the Lake and the bed was so comfortable it was very hard to leave it. The amenities were great and the Spa very good. Breakfast was a real visual feats and the options were all Vg well thought through. Altogether, I recommend it very highly.
PARKROYAL Yangon Good 7.8 Luxury in a crazy city, perfect escape from the madness
MiCasa Hotel Apartments, Yangon Good 7.7 I stayed in a Suit which was excellent ever been I styed all over the world but price is bit expensive. However, I liked it
The Strand, Yangon Excellent 8.9 Room was one of the best I've seen without being a suite, butler service was on point and constantly went above and beyond, even opened the kitchen early to deliver (free) breakfast if our choice (and we ordered about half the menu... Still free) to our room at 5.30am. Food was great (better in room than in restaurant, but only ate I'm the restaurant once). Not too far from main attractions (Shwedagon, Bogyoke, etc.) whilst being in a cool, more local downtown area of Yangon (Chinatown etc, lots of local eateries).
Clover Hotel Good 7.3 The staffs are friendly and willingly to service. The cleanliness is awesome. My mother and aunt (both are senior citizens) really appreciate the hotel hospitality. Thank you.
Panda Hotel Pleasant 6.5 The staff are very accommodating but shy. Their English is good. Beds are comfortable and clean and although it not up there with the Shangri la it is cheap and cheery
BEST WESTERN Green Hill Hotel Good 7.5 Walking location to my UNDP office Fast and reliable Wifi Exercise room Great breakfast
Sedona Hotel Yangon Good 7.6 What I like the best about this hotel is its service. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They are also very quick in responding their client's needs. When I got sick, the doctor was sent to my room promptly. She then examined me and provided me with the appropriate medication and I recovered within a day. The concierge was very helpful in describing what the city has to offer including the do's and dont's. The room is designed so dapper but relaxing at the same time. There is a warm ambience when you first enter into the room. I personally love the lightning. Overall, me and my colleagues are very happy to stay in this hotel.

Hotels that guests love in Yangon

    • Well it is a very clean small new hotel not in the center but close to everythng some places I've reached walking but please take the map with from the reception because is new and taxi drivers don't know if you don't show on the map. Staff is adorable if you looking for good english? Only Kevin can help!

    • The hotel is brand new and immaculate in all respects. The personal is well-trained and extremely friendly. They are ever smiling and ready to do their best to please you. The breakfast was perfect and well-served. Wi-Fi was the best I had in Myanmar. The property is located far from downtown but it has the positive side: the street is very quiet. It takes 10-15 minutes and about $3-4 to get to Shwedagon, etc. The restaurant in front of the hotel is good but very overpriced.

    • Very budget hotel but cheapest in Yangon, fine size double rooms although you can request bigger. The showers aren't great but they do the trick. Sheets and towels weren't the best but again it's really cheap and in Burma you rarely get what you pay for, at least here it actually looks like it's pictures! The staff are charmers, barely any English but they will help with anything and they always go out of their way! I can't thank yhem enough :)

    • We stayed overnight at the Great Feel because it was close to the airport and we were in transit. It's not in a great neighbourhood but it's only a $6 taxi ride from the airport (and only $3 back). There's a good restaurant just a block away. The room was spacious, the large bed comfortable, and the hotel quiet and clean. The staff were accommodating and got us a taxi when we needed it. It also has the best wifi we experienced in Myanmar.

    • The hotel is new, so it looks ok. However, white walls and no decoration gives it a bit of "hospital" feeling. Location is ok, around 5 min to airport by car. Their airport transfer is expensive, which they are open about. Metered taxi would be much cheaper, but you have to make sure they take the shortest route. Since we left very early, staff packed a breakfast pack for us, with some pastry and a boiled egg.
