Hotels that guests love in Austin

  • Location near the 6th street and downtown

    Jouni, Solo traveller from Austria
  • Location is good, it takes about 15 minutes to downtown and 7 to the Capitol. The bus station for the airport is 5 minutes away. Rooms are clean and contain all the stuff that a person would need (fridge, TV, dryer, iron etc). I would stay there again, the hotel is overall OK.

    Marius, Solo traveller from Romania
  • Nice, clean pretty rooms, stuff is helpful. 15 mins walk from downtown, 24h open fast-food place is next to the hostel.

    Solo traveller from Hungary
  • It's very well located 15 minutes walking to downtown and 6th Ave. The room is big and clean and you can enjoy the fairly nice pool.

    Group from the United States
  • Wonderful staff, nice clean room, enormous bed. Further from downtown Austin than expected but there's a bus to downtown within a 10 minutes walk from the motel. Great value for money

Best Western Plus Austin City Very good 8.5 I like to do my homework before I book anything so I know what to expect. My friend and I who work for an airline decided to take a quick weekend trip to Texas just because we can. We only spent 1 night in this hotel, but it was definitely pleasantly surprising. Location was great, staff was awesome, friendly, and they had a truly Texan feel. The room was very clean and accommodating, and the pool area was clean and pleasant. Breakfast was awesome...they allow you to make your own Belgian waffles in the shape of the state of Texas. I found that particularly amusing. Overall, we had a very nice stay here, though truly short lived.

    A Unique Slice of Texas

Austin is a city like no other in Texas. A haven for the cool and creative, musicians and music fans flock by the hundreds to this ‘Live Music Capital of the World’ for yearly festivals like Austin City Limits and South by Southwest.

Historic downtown Austin is the seat of Texas government, and the seat of fun and entertainment for locals and visitors. Congress Avenue is the main artery through the city centre, leading you to the impressive Texas State Capitol building at the end. Just off Congress is 6th Street, the popular entertainment district with its quirky bars and fine restaurants.

Away from the hustle and bustle is tranquil Zilker Park, a 350 acre oasis in the heart of the city. Here you can wander through the Zilker Botanical Gardens, or take a dip in the inviting Barton Springs Pool, a natural spring where locals swim year round. A walk around Town Lake at sunset is a must.

Austin is also home to the University of Texas, where about 50,000 students are enrolled each year which ensures a fun and youthful atmosphere throughout the city.

It is possible to get around Austin by bicycle and bus, and Austin International Airport is only 13 kilometres from the city centre. From motels to resorts, offers accommodation as unique as the city itself.
