We loved the view. I loved the restaurant and bar. The breakfast meal was awesome. The location was perfect for all our activities in Oregon City/Milwaukie area. Very secure. I would feel comfortable as a single guest.
Offering a fitness centre, Holiday Inn Express Portland SE - Clackamas Area features guest rooms with free Wi-Fi. A daily continental breakfast is included.
Clackamas is going down the tubes badly. I grew up in Clackamas and it was known as a super nice area to live but not anymore. Homeless and drug addicts are taking over - just like Portland, Gresham and the whole dang state!

We reserved and were placed in a pet friendly room.
We reserved and were placed in a pet friendly room. Unfortunately, our wall was against the elevator wall... we heard ever ding for every floor EVERY TIME someone used the elevator. We overlooked that because we asked for a pet-friendly room.
When we walked to our room, we were overcome by the smell of someone smoking marijuana. We proceeded to the room, hoping that it wouldn't be in there... unfortunately it was and when we turned on the light in the bathroom, the exhaust fan proceeded to pull more smoke in under the main door into our room. It was awful. I went to the front desk and the lady was very nice and said she would look into it. I don't know what was done, but it seemed to improve.
Our second night was far worse. I went again to the front desk and the gentlman there, Germaine, said "if you want to go to another hotel, I won't charge you. I said "That's very kind of you to offer but we already paid for both nights through booking.com." So he said "well there's nothing I can do because it's legal here." I said, "It's legal in my state too but hotels don't tolerate this." He then said "well you are in a pet-friendly room so maybe you're mistaking it for a pet smell." (Ok, so now THAT'S ok? Seriously?) So then he said "I was just down that hallway a little while ago and I didn't smell anything." (Of course not if you're mistaking it for pet odors!)
I will NEVER stay in this hotel again and quite possibly NEVER in a Hampton Inn again. It used to be my favorite hotel chain.

The hotel was conveniently located for the plans we had for the weekend, downtown Portland, Happy Valley, out to the airport. Found a wonderful Chinese restaurant in Happy Valley, Wan Lung, great food and terrific service!

We came for family and friends, used to live in the area and loved it, now not so much - too much traffic, too many changes, hard to get around. We will come back to Clackamas and Oregon City as long as the people we love are here. We love Carver Cafe. We are not a young couple.

There are always places I want to go when I'm in Clackamas that I never have time for. I can spend one full day trying to do it all but it's not enough. You need at least 2 full days to shop in Clackamas to get the full experience. Bob's Red Mill Whole Grain Store and Voodoo Donuts are not far.

Smelled like cigarettes, flies in room, holes in bathroom door, WiFi password didn’t work. I will say that I did report the cigarette smell and holes in bathroom door to front desk because I was concerned I’d be blamed and lose my deposit. I was assured that my deposit would be returned and they offered to move me. I declined the move because I was exhausted but was satisfied that they gave their word my deposit would be returned.
The front desk night shift guy was awesome he tried to help in anyway he possibly could. The manager and his customer service skills were horrendous. He is quite frankly rude to his employees and rude to customers. He has no capability of compassion or communication and needs to retire because customer service anything is not for him. I will never recommend anyone to this hotel and I will never be back.
Bed was comfy, so much so it was thr best sleep in a hotel ever. I actually slept most of the night two nights. Bathroom fan was Excellent white noise. The shower was hot and had great waterpressure. Staff was nice and let us Check in 3 hours early. Had coffee, fridge, and free breakfast. Room was outdated and things needed replacing but it was overall a pleasant stay. For the price.
I need internet access for business and personal use. Unfortunately the wi gi at Monarch was insecure. I am unwilling to risk that so I had first to change rooms trying to find one with good cellular data service but wound up getting only marginal cellular data.
Chow tge hotel for wifi and free parking. Got one. Won’t come again unless wifi security addessed
We picked it for its location near relatives. It was a very fine place to stay. Lot's of room for us and our three grandchildren.
We felt right at home. No way this would have worked for us in a hotel room, even two. This concept works for us. Also, we didn't have to eat every meal at a restaurant
The locations was perfect in that it was in front of MAX rail Clackamas station and was very close to the shopping mall. The staff were very attentive and kind too. The hotel was neat and clean and the room cleaning was done nicely.
Nice breakfast with delicious coffee.
The hotel was pretty booked but we didn’t hear ANYONE. The rooms are well insulated and the doors don’t slam shut like most hotel doors. Breakfast smelled great as we checked out. The beds are a tad too firm for me personally but better than most.
Location - Some of my children live close to this Marriott so we were able visit and I attended a birthday party for my 2year old great grandson. I also did a little Christmas shopping I was able to walk to the Clackamas Mall no problem.
One of front desk worker, Adam, she was extremely nice and professional. This make me comfortable and relax. The room was old building and unclean; however, I felt the hotel room is like my grandam home in San Jose, CA.
The hotel is really nice, easy parking, excellent comfortable rooms, nice decor, great internet, complete breakfast, and available coffee, tea a fruit all the time. Staff are really welocoming and helpful.
it is the perfect location for me. it is within a walking distance to my work
location. every amenities is closer to the hotel. grocery, eatery, pharmacy, etc. just perfect.
The location was close to our wedding venue. We liked that we could walk to many restaurants and stores. We had a wonderful time. The staff at the hotel was amazing.
