Botha House was absolutely incredible. The authentic historical stay was above and beyond our expectations and we can definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves amazing views and beautiful old charm atmosphere. Charles, the daytime manager was an amazing host, filled with knowledge and the gift of great hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here on the last day of 2023 and saying hello to 2024 with the most wonderful breakfast outside in an atmosphere filled with incredible views and beauty. it's child friendly( 7 and under 1 plus cot provided on request) bonus, our kids had a fab time.

2 great golf courses, Selbourne & Umdoni. Rocky bay just round the corner which has many rock pools to explore. Be sure to also look up Mokarran Dive Charters for a great diving experience to Aliwal shoal or for a snorkelling boat trip to shallow reefs.

Liked that it was pet friendly. My dog had the most fun. Even though there was load shedding there was some light available, wifi still worked, there's a gas stove and games to keep yourself entertained. Its value for money especially if you like the old feeling. A pool would definitely be so much better!
If you looking for a restaurant that's reasonably priced and a few minutes away, checkout The Beach Cafe, good food with beautiful views and it's pet friendly and child friendly

Quiet little area on the Southcoast with lots of retired...
Quiet little area on the Southcoast with lots of retired folks. Small shops - great coffee shop, barber, OK shop for food quite basic, not far to bigger centres in Scottburgh or Port Shepstone South Coast Mall etc.
Good beaches, very peaceful and great vacation location. Must be great living here permanently! Lots of golf courses and other activities like Crocodile Farm etc.

Our Rooms at Selbourne Golf, Hotel and Spa, faced the Golf Course and in the early morning, little bucks would come down and nibble, it was truly special, the walk to the Restaurant and Reception Area is beautiful. We mostly ate at our Hotel, but he private beach was an experience, and as we drove down, the area had an OK Bazaars, Restaurants on the beach next to the Private Beach.
At our Hotel, we took wonderful walks around the course, extremely safe and absolutely beautiful, your spirits feels fed by the beauty.

Pennington is a wonderful beach town, which is not over crowded, it has lovely beaches and a friendly atmosphere. The Ski boat club is great if you are looking for a relaxing evening out, their fish meals are fabulous. Everything is walking distance, and easy to access.
Honestly speaking, the people are very nice, the staff and owners.
The pictures on the net is a lie. The property/facility is not at beachfront as indicated on Booking.com and it is more than 400m away from beach front with lots of properties in front of it. They are deceiving people. I went looking something quiet where I can lie on sea sand in front of the booked facility,
Place was excellent , Clean and hosts we accommodating and welcoming.
Views were exceptional...and overall a great place to stay with easy access, nice pool and safe parking.
Bathrooms and Showers were also exceptional with a Patio overlooking the Ocean.
Very Happy and will be back again when we revisit the South Coast.

The villa is spacious and is well appointed. It is in a beautiful part of the country. It is close to beautiful beaches and has great activities close by. We stayed there for a wedding and it was very easy to access the property.
The location was just what I wanted, away from the noise of the CBD, just to listen to the sound of the birds sing and nature. I loved the house the most, it's interior, it's design.... I mean everything was top notch.
The area was quite, the home was big enough to accommodate my family. The beach is less than 1km from the place. The host was very friendly and encouraged us to contact them if we needed anything.
I selected Botha House for the location, and it exceeded my expectations. The hospitality was excellent, and owner and staff were great. Good security. Recommended for a quite get away.
