The staff were excellent and the breakfasts wonderful.!!We found Mirihif Retreat & historic Montagu special places and an excellent location to stayt o tour the fabulous Robertson Wineries.( Only 20 minutes by car) Note to travellers you need to book for dinner at the house best restaurants in Montagu to assure a seat!

Nestled at the foot of the Langeberg Mountain Range and surrounded by wineries, The Vineyard Country House features an outdoor pool, a sun terrace and patios overlooking the garden. Everything was just perfect! Very nice bedroom with a beautiful view from the terrace directly into the vines. The breakfast was exceptional and lovely, just like Sandra who took excellent care of everything

Galenia exceeded all expectations: My husband and I have stayed at numerous similar establishments in South Africa over the years and this was by far the best: everything was spotless, sparkling clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Pati and all thestaff went out of their way to do absolutely everything one requested, “Thank You” for making our stay exceptional. They were exceptionally friendly and high professional. They are dedicated to their work and this translates to a wonderful experience for guests. Perfect place to relax and unwind. The view from the terrasse was absolutely amazing and breathless. The bed linen was crisp and the decor lovely. Even the hairdryer was a good one, powerful one – not the usual ineffective low voltage ones usually found. Offering an indoor pool and garden view, Sempurna Estate is set in McGregor, 18 km from Robertson Art Gallery and 20 km from Robertson Golf Club. We loved this place! we booked a self catering suite and it is very comfortable and there is a lot of space. it is in a cottage with 3 suites in a row and the view is amazing. The garden is perfectly laid out. We stayed for 2 nights and had a perfect stay: we rested, we swam (big indoor pool), we did the walk of 11 k’s on their own ground, we went to a dinner/concert at the courtyard in mcgregor (very nice) and we had dinner at ragazzi Italian restaurant in mcgregor (very nice too). Manuela is the perfect host and has a lot of extra info and knowledge. highly recommended!!

Situated on a 3-hectare olive and wine farm on Route 62, Klein Nektar offers accommodation in the heart of the historic town of Montagu. The attention to detail was well thought of. Complimentary rusks were the best we have ever had. The farm fresh eggs were tasty and the Muscadel was a sweet treat for the end of the night. Henk was a superb host and made sure we got day passes at Gauna Caves which the kids enjoyed. The unit is so beautiful and had everything one would ever need. Although we were close to town it felt isolated enough to unwind and recharge. The best part of the stay was having full assess the farm grown veg and fruit. We will definitely be back again.
