The historic Margretetorps Gästgifvaregård is located by Hallandsåsen mountain ridge, a 10-minute drive from Ängelholm city center. The grounds and hotel are a lovely mix of charming and contemporary but in keeping with the original buildings. I have never seen a hotel room with such attention to detail… hooks… robes… lighting etc. The beds were unbelievably comfortable and if I lived here would order one. This hotel was one of our favourite places during our 2 weeks in Sweden. Would absolutely stay here again!

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality. The staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere throughout the stay. The room was very comfortable, and clean. Everything was well-maintained and designed for maximum comfort. One of the highlights was the food. Both breakfast and dinner were included in the stay, and the variety and quality were truly excellent. There was plenty to choose from—fresh juices, coffee, tea, and a rich selection of dishes that catered to all tastes. The food was plentiful, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A lovely touch that made the experience even more special was the daily “Fika”, a Swedish tradition where a delicious sweet treat was served in the heart of the day—available exclusively for hotel guests. It added a warm and homely feel that really set this hotel apart. Great location, wonderful food, outstanding service, and thoughtful extras that made the stay memorable. Highly recommended—I would definitely return!

Dating back to 1852, this elegant hotel is a 5-minute walk from Gothenburg Central Train Station. It offers a peaceful inner courtyard, free Wi-Fi and free coffee/tea and homemade cake each afternoon.... Everything was great! exceptional location, a lot of cafe and restaurants nearby. Amazing breakfast!
