We’ve travelled all over central and South America staying in a range of hotels and we all agreed this was one of our top favourite stays. The property is beautiful- hard to not take continuous pictures. Everyone working there is so lovely and goes out of their way to look after you. They contact you via WhatsApp before your stay to start to welcome you. Special shout out to the manager (sorry we didn’t catch your name!) who was super friendly and really looked after us (even finding me another book after I finished the one I brought with me) The rooms are spacious, spotless and ac is cool and water is warm. Unfortunately, we barely spent any time in the rooms as the pool area is so comfortable. Plenty of sun beds, two pools and shade if you want it. They’ve got basic food that’s still very good and you can order from their sister property if you can’t be bothered leaving the property (which was the case for us one day!) Also to mention- food and drinks are very affordable - we ate and drank (a lot) and it worked out to about £30 per day!

Located in El Zonte, a 6-minute walk from El Zonte Beach, Hotel Michanti provides accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We liked everything! The room was very nice and clean, with AC. The facilities are of high standard, with a pool and a restaurant. The food is good and fairly cheap. The coffee is also very good. They arrange things such as yoga, movie night etc. Staff is very friendly and helpful and they are always cleaning so it smells very good.

Casa Hotel Santa Lucia provides accommodations in Suchitoto. With a terrace, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Location, hospitality, breakfast. Little amount of rooms makes for a family experience.

Excellent location, exceptional staff and wonderful food. Such a nice vibe around town, couldn’t fault the hotel at all. Even after a hurricane style storm overnight, and after losing power and electricity, the staff were so attentive and made it seem as if nothing had happened. Well done.

Located in La Libertad, a 16-minute walk from Playa San Blas, Sunset Surf Villa has accommodations with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. The crew are a really solid team who are ready to help. They blend in seamlessly with the guests. It was a pleasure surfing with them during their time off. Great location. Right on the beach in a much more chilled spot than the loud and busy El Tunco. Handy shops and local eateries nearby. Pupusas from the lady up the road are a knockout. Get stuck in. A decent selection of surfboards. I reckon they could do with more 7ft+ polyurethane boards you can wax up. Perhaps another voluminous fishtail as the only one there was very, very popular.

Casaola Mizata has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Santa María Mizata. A few steps from Mizata Beach, the hotel provides a bar and barbecue facilities. Very clean and small enough that you could chat with everyone staying there. Right by the sea. Free coffee in the morning!
