We really enjoyed our stay at AVO Boutique Hotel. The beach right below the hotel was calm and beautiful – the perfect place to unwind away from the crowds. Our room was comfortable and always clean. One of the highlights was the food – every meal was delicious, so much so that we didn’t even bother eating anywhere else! The owner and the team were all super kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. It’s a quiet, cozy place with great vibes – we can't recommend it enough :)

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and genuinely cared for. The entire team was incredibly kind, helpful, and always available. Their constant presence and willingness to assist made the stay feel effortless and personal — they’re just genuinely nice, caring people who clearly love what they do. The location is perfect: tucked away in a quiet, peaceful area ideal for a relaxing vacation, yet just a few minutes’ walk from all the vibrant spots and city life. It offers the perfect balance of serenity and accessibility. The rooms were in perfect condition — spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The views were absolutely amazing and added so much to the overall ambience, which was calm, elegant, and welcoming. Even the little touches stood out. Even without a breakfast buffet, every morning brought a new, delicious selection. You could really feel the care put into creating a fresh, varied experience each day. Most importantly, I felt completely safe and taken care of throughout my stay.

Babalao Bungalows has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Nungwi. Perfect location…super close to the beach but far enough to be quiet. The staff were all helpful and friendly and answered everything with “no problem”. The bar/restaurant is a comfortable place to relax with a beer or a book. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. I loved the art on the walls and I like all the plants and greenery around the place. Great place to stay.

The hotel was like a little piece of paradise. It’s very boutique and peaceful. The owners were super nice and very helpful. They saved our holiday by making every effort that they could to find our lost baggages from our flight. Food and coctails were great and would recommend 100%.

One of the Best Hotels in Zanzibar! We had an amazing stay at this hotel for over a month, and it was truly one of the best in terms of quality service. The staff was incredibly attentive and always ready to help, making our experience even more enjoyable. The surroundings were breathtaking, and the room facilities, along with the cleanliness, exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar and wish them continued success!

Located in Matemwe, a few steps from Matemwe Beach, HEBE Bungalows Lodge has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a shared lounge. Overall it was a great hotel. We were soo comfortable with our 2 year old! All the staff was super friendly to us and our daughter. The rooms were comfortable and tasteful, beach is amazing. Restaurant is more expensive than average but worth it! Grilled calamary was sooo good we ate one everyday :) Special thanks to all the hardworking staff of the hotel, they were so accomodating, helpful without overwhelming us.
