My wife and I love the place. It's like staying in a Lord of Rings setting, surrounded by giant trees and lush plants. Close to Volcano National Park, you can make a trip to the park early in the morning or in the evening without worrying about the time you have to spend on the road. The cottage is small but cozy, with working fireplace and bed warmers. The room has a special design with interesting details. Two pieces of wooden carvings are nicely decorated in the room. The bedroom has a small dome, and a glass roof above the bed, and we enjoyed gazing through it at the sky and clouds, telling ourselves we can relax and there is no need to hurry to the next destination. Staff are very friendly, esp. Kalei, who gave us good advice for exploring the nearby spots. They provide freshly grounded coffee everyday and that's also adding a great touch to their hospitality. Breakfast is also great, though we had it as a light dinner sometimes.
