Just a few minutes by car you can get to the airport railway station. Trains run every 30/60 minutes to Graz mainstation in just 10 minutes. Tickets will cost only 5,50 euros for 24 hours to travel by public transport in and around Graz. The "Schlossbergbahn" is also included in this 24 hour ticket.

Good distance for a morning walk (assuming that there is no rain). I found the hotel appropriate for 1 night just before the flight. Good breakfast with coffee and tea. The host could communicate in English. And the most important think - there was no any noise from outside, during the night, as it happens in town.
