Quiet neighborhood, though a few minutes drive from highway 8. Friendly staff, great breakfast with an extensive choice. The restaurant offers excellent food at a reasonable price. The parking is outside, which is great when carrying a rooftop trunk.

Great location being so close to the A8 - we have stayed several times on our way to ski in Austria. Excellent & popular restaurant and good breakfast. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly and speak more than enough English.

We were made very welcome and had a good meal at Guesthaus Sonne. A local bus serves the train station on the outskirts of Merklingen.
