Kiltearn Guest House is a hotel located near the town of Evanton. A wonderful landscape that inspires peace and tranquility. We were able to walk around part of the lake from the hotel. The hosts were very attentive and prepared an excellent dinner for us, cheese board and local sausages. I wish I had booked more days. If I ever return to Scotland, which I hope will be soon, we will stay at the same hotel again.
I can only say that it was exceptional.

Everyone we met was really friendly and there are some nice walks in Evanton Community Woods and down to the Firth. The Novar Arms was a great little pub with very friendly staff. It has an interesting history and a great little Co-op.
It’s within earshot of the A9 and the railway so can hear traffic noise but, on the plus, it’s easy to go exploring in many directions.

Evanton is in a lovely setting with woods nearby for walks and Kiltearn beach not too far away. It is close to the A9 so access to elsewhere in the area is good. There is a supermarket, cafe and hotel in the village so there is no need to go further afield for provisions. However there is a large, well stocked Tesco with petrol station in Dingwall which is about 10minutes by car. Evanton is a quiet peaceful place and the locals are very friendly.
