The Ritz Carlton in Nanjing is a wonderful structure. The hotel is just amazing, and the staff extremely kind and attentive. Our room was at a high floor and the view we had on the city was stunning at night. The room itself was huge, with sophisticated furniture and decorations. Flair, the bar at 62nd floor is beautiful, with a wide selection of drinks and snacks, and the Chinese restaurant at 39th floor exceeded our expectations: wonderful atmosphere and amazing food. Altogether it was a memorable stay. We wish to be back soon!

Offering air-conditioned rooms in the Xuan Wu district of Nanjing, Atour Hotel Nanjing Xuanwumen is 7 km from Xuanwu Lake. All staffs in the hotel are very kind. They tried to help me when they saw me in the lobby. They called a taxi with their own app because I could not use China local calling taxi. Hotel room was simple and clean like business hotel style. So far good. Highly recommend!

Shangri-La Hotel Nanjing is located in the centre of vibrant Gulou District. Everything. The hotel is close to the Xuanwu Lake and in walking distance to the Xuanwu Gate. It’s easy to get in and out traffic wise but feel quieter than the Xinjiekou area. The hotel is newer than most peer group such as Westin and Hilton. The staff is very friendly and better quality than its peer group as well. The cleaning staff especially go out of their way to help. Their Chinese restaurant Jiangnan Zao is delicious. We stayed in three hotels (Westin, Hilton Riverside) in Nanjing on a recent trip and Shangrila is by far the best.

The handle of my window broke down while I was staying at the hotel. I went to the reception on the morning to let them know and they said it was not a problem and they would fix it. When I came back late afternoon, the handle had already been replaced. Really good service! Location is also really conveniant, 3 min walk from the metro with a nice view over the lake.
