The cottage is set in a collection of farm buildings on a working sheep farm. There are Shetland ponies and chickens around and guinea fowl wandering everywhere. The host and her staff were extremely welcoming and helpful for any requests we had. The cottage inside and out is very quaint with all the items we needed for 5 people and a number of friends and relatives visiting over our 3 weeks stay. Climbing Wisteria plants in full bloom on the back of the cottage welcomed us and by the time we left the kitchen windows were framed by opening pink roses. The local area is full of things to do from the "Big Pit" underground experience, market days in Abergavenny, the tiny country roads to get lost in and a myriad of villages, castles and country pubs and inns to replenish us. The local canal on the hillside is a lovely place for a gentle walk and watch the wildlife. We will be back, already booked in fact. The owner was so accommodating I can't thank her enough.
