A recently renovated holiday home situated in Abergavenny, The Cottage features a garden. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 48 km from University of South Wales - Cardiff Campus.

The cottage is set in a collection of farm buildings on a working sheep farm. There are Shetland ponies and chickens around and guinea fowl wandering everywhere. The host and her staff were extremely welcoming and helpful for any requests we had. The cottage inside and out is very quaint with all the items we needed for 5 people and a number of friends and relatives visiting over our 3 weeks stay. Climbing Wisteria plants in full bloom on the back of the cottage welcomed us and by the time we left the kitchen windows were framed by opening pink roses. The local area is full of things to do from the "Big Pit" underground experience, market days in Abergavenny, the tiny country roads to get lost in and a myriad of villages, castles and country pubs and inns to replenish us. The local canal on the hillside is a lovely place for a gentle walk and watch the wildlife. We will be back, already booked in fact. The owner was so accommodating I can't thank her enough. Host was amazing. You felt looked after, and nothing was too much trouble. Our cottage had all the facilities, nice building work (Dean), clean finish, all the little accessories like cling film, foil that you always forget 😆. We had two doggies 🐕 and sometimes people are funny about it. Not at this place. The whole gang was made welcome. Defo going back in the summer and bringing more family. Dan + Meg xxxxx

I chose the cottage to give my family the experience of living in the countryside and it ticked all the boxes and more. A stunning garden with an honesty bar and in situ barbecue gave a great sense of freedom. Sheep to your right and canal boats a toddlers walking distance away, with a magnificant backdrop of the surrounding hills. I discovered Welsh cakes on my trip which became a firm favourite, and to have the host have a plate of freshly home baked ones to welcome us got the stay off to a flying start.

We just had a short stay to visit friend and family. The property was ideal for our needs as a base for this. The children in the party really enjoyed the toys and books provided. Nice quiet location with lovely views of the mountains.

Hosts were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Bubbly, strawberries and brownies on arrival were a very welcome treat. The whole property was spotless and the patio/jacuzzi area was lovely. Lounge has two cozy and large settees which felt luxurious, loved the beds! Small children will love the private play area lots of toys and room for them. Finally All the facilities tick all the boxes and there are some lovely walks, golf and Abergavenny nearby.

Great house, perfect for family of four. Super clean, with everything you need and good WiFi. The location is on a farm, but what you can't see from the photos is that you have total privacy and its also very quiet, so a good sleep is guaranteed! The garden is fine to sit out and for the kids to have a run around in. Host Rachel was very welcoming and gave us hints and tips of where to go. Would def stay again!

We had a lovely stay at The Bull Pen. The farm was fun for the kids. All the facilities were great especially the games room. The host had left a sweet little bouquet of wildflowers for us on arrival. Nice touches.

It’s wonderful location was great for a getaway and relaxation. It is perfect for a family with children as all can enjoy every aspect of the working farm and it’s animals. Although there is much activity in the farm, we were also afforded all privacy.
