Had a lovely sunny room, good size with all mod cons including nespresso machine. Breakfast was very good too. Staff were excellent very warm, friendly and happy to help at all times. Overall a great place to stay and I thoroughly recommend it to prospective visitors to Zurich

Beautiful breakfast in a roomy and quite restaurant. Very friendly staff in all areas. Comfortable beds, large shower where you don't bump in a wall and superb internet connection. Good wine list in the restaurant.

We did not know what to expect when booking a room in a castle during winter time, especially as the price was more affordable or on par with other accommodations in the region. We were given an upgrade of our room upon arrival which was a pleasant surprise. We received a quite big, beautifully decorated room with a very comfortable armchair, and with a bathroom a couple of steps down the hall, which was not that big of a deal, especially when you think that you are in a castle, and castles did not have toilets in the room. Also the bathroom was modern, warm, and super clean so there was absolutely no problem on that end. It is still private. The location was very good for us as we had a plan to see Schaffhausen and Rheinfall and this is just 20 min drive away. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was excellent as well as the wine which was from a winery below the hill. The hotel/restaurant staff were super kind, they really added a little extra to this wonderful experience. In the evening we enjoyed being in the courtyard, enjoying the silence and the view of/from the castle, it felt like we had it for ourselves. We would gladly come back, hopefully someday we will.

The flat was spacious, modern and well lit. The cleaning service was really good. The bed was extremely comfortable. The facilities were great: there was even a Nespresso machine with capsules and everything! Irene, who came to give me the keys, was very friendly and helpful.
