I travelled with my parents and the stay was comfy and superb. I have been in Abisko area already 7 times and I will try to stay once again in Björkliden in my next time, and hopefully for longer. Micke and Rita were wind enough to be alert with us, since it was snowing a lot and there was some convoy timing to continue to Narvik.

From my first inquiry, Bjorn was beyond helpful. We had family meeting in Stockholm to begin out journey. Bjorn suggested Lulea as the nearest airport where we rented a car for the drive to Jokkmokk-the place where the magic begins. The glass huts was extraordinary-the best possible use of every inch of space. It was toasty warm inside and perfectly furnished. The views were out of this world. Bjorn also booked several adventures for us: snowmobiling, dog sledding and a visit to a Sami reindeer herder. One night he cooked for us, another perfect evening. We had two huts for three nights, which began with a Northern lights show. We could not have wished for anything more.

Set in Jukkasjärvi, Camp Caroli offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and barbecue facilities. Fantastic stay in the middle of great nature! We stayed for 5 nights in September. Supposed to be 6 nights but missed one day due to sudden cancellation of our outbound flight. Despite such hustling of our arrival, Stefan is very friendly and welcomed us with a warm hospitality. Small camping but quiet and cosy enough. Not far from Kiruna city with only 20 min drive you can get a real tranquility by a beautiful lake without any light from the city in the night, which is a perfect place for relaxing and spotting the northern lights. After coming back from a long drive and hiking in Abisko National Park, we enjoyed private sauna at the camp, then when got out of the place with a hot body, found a subtle greenish light in the night sky and it was getting bigger to be more visible. Yes, the northern lights!! Wavering slowly and reflecting itself on the surface of the lake, it was a really fantastical moment. We were so lucky to be able to see at such exclusive place where only my wife and me (and the owners) are there.

Everything was as promised and local beach was peaceful and clean. We loved everything about this place and its surroundings. Great place for both one night stayover or for longer holiday.

Tärnaby Rooms & Apartments offers accommodation in Tärnaby. Hemavan is 18 km away. The owner is so nice and kind. We arrived late and she still waited there and gave us a room tour. The room is spacious and clean. You have everything in the kitchen and large bathroom. There are bicycles and canoes available. We had a good time paddling in the lake before leaving. All and all, more than a satisfying experience. Highly recommend!

On the banks of the river, this motel is in Sangis just 100 metres from the E4 motorway and 20 km from Kalix. Nice motel room, not the largest, but with all you need and spotless clean! Very friendly hosts, good location, overall particularly good value for the money!
