Perfect solution. My friends left and I needed just a room for a cheaper price for myself. The host offers the second floor as a whole rental apartment and the first floor as a rental by room. Having rented just the double room, I still had access to all apartment amenities. Nice and unexpected treat. Eduardo, the host, was very nice and accommodating.

Highly recommend! Stayed here for a 24 hr layover. Welcomed so kindly to the place. Felt incredibly safe! The owners explained where to go and what areas were safe. The room was so much larger than expected and bed, pillow and linens very comfortable. Design was beautiful in room and surrounding area. Great wifi! We walked to the nearby mall, supermarket and a lovely Vegan restaurant (called seriously its vegan). The owners were so kind! So happy to find this GEM and would recommend! Great value for money!

We chose this hotel because we needed a place to stay before our next flight. This place was prefect for that, clean, comfortable, affordable, and within walking distance to the airport. They even provided recommendations to wander about and get food that worked out perfectly.

I travel into Guayaquil frequently, on the same flight, which comes in very late at night. Casa Michael has become my regular layover spot when I fly in. He responds swiftly to any messages I send and Moses is usually listening for my arrival and meets me quickly at the door and helps me with my luggage. I like to book a room with air conditioning because it's often warm in Guayaquil. I'm usually up early to catch a van shuttle home to Cuenca and he is usually up and will help me not only get a taxi booked but get my luggage down to the curb super early in the morning. Staying at Casa Michael provides me with a familiar face and reliable consistency. The location is just a few minutes from the airport, bus terminal, and van shuttle services. A midnight taxi from the airport usually charges $5 to get to the location and oftentimes the taxi drivers know where Casa Michael is located. I have had a few drivers try to charge me $7 but I simply tell them that $5 is what I usually pay and they always agree. The taxi service to the van shuttle is usually $3 in the morning. Casa Michael is a convenient option for budget-friendly travel. This has been my third stay with him this year and I will continue to use this location when I fly into Guayaquil.
